Your POV

"You're a what?" I asked

"A ghost" Whitey replied

I laughed "nice joke, you don't need to lie Whitey"

"No (y/n) I'm being serious I died in the fight" he said

"Then how come I can see you, talk to you?" I asked "wait... I'm not dead as well am I?"

He chuckled "I don't think so (y/n), and to answer your questions I don't know I've been trying to find out since I met you"

I sat down to process everything

"So why aren't you in some sort of paradise?" I asked

"I did have the option to stay here or leave but for some reason I felt like I couldn't leave, like something was pulling me to stay here and for years I've been trying to work out why" he said

"And have you found out?" I asked

"I uh don't think so" he said while shifting which indicated to me that he lied

After that bombshell was dropped he left me alone which was kinda good because it was quite hard to process what had just happened.

But it was all beginning to make sense. Why he kept coming here because it was where he worked, why when I met up with Erin when I looked back he had disappeared.

But why could I see him, talk to him. I decided to ask Google but that was no help and just said if you see a ghost you're seeing things and if you can talk to one seek help.

I don't think I was imagining it

Soon mum came back and asked how my day had been I just said it was ok and we had dinner and then I went and sat on the deck deciding to research the fight that Whitey died in.

Many people died that day, it even said that a deputy had died on the decking of the station which gave me the chills as I knew it was Whitey.

Tomorrow I planned to investigate the place more and see if I could get any history on the place.

And with that in mind I went to bed and dreamt of Whitey.

It's been a week since the bombshell and I've only seen Whitey once since then and when we were together I completely forgot he was dead, we just had some much fun together I kinda wished he was alive and I think I knew why I wanted him alive but I decided that today I would hunt for answers.

I got ready and went downstairs

Mum was already up and she smiled

"Morning love, want any breakfast?" She asked

"No thanks mum I might get something in town later, I'm going out to explore the place more" I said grabbing my bag

"Ok honey have fun" she smiled and I left

I decided to start at the library somewhere I rarely go and looked up the history of La Belle where it didn't help what so ever just said what happened, I then decided to go the the museum which just had stuff found from the fight so then I explored

After about an hour I found myself by a graveyard and I found a oldish woman

"Your the new girl aren't you?" She said as I walked past

I looked at her a bit shocked "um yeah"

"Sorry love didn't mean to alarm you, I know everyone here so I know when I see a new face" she smiled

"It's fine" I replied with a smile

"You enjoying it here?" She asked

I nodded "yeah I guess so, recently it's been a bit weird"

"How's that?" She asked

"You honestly don't want to know, you'll think I'm insane" I sighed

"No one is more insane than me lovey" she said

"I'm well friends I guess with a ghost" I said quietly

"Me too" she said simply

"Wait what?" I asked

"I'm friends with a ghost to, well actually I married one" she said

I looked at her shocked "what do you mean?"

"I know exactly how you feel pet" she replied and began to tell me her story...

I was gonna finish this storyline in this chapter but decided to drag it out a tad more :)

Slightly shorter but it will be worth it !! (Hopefully anyways)
