sadie's pov
millie and i quickly ran up to her bedroom to have our daily "girl talk" and dance to music. "so," millie started as we both flopped down on her bed. "what do you have to contribute to today's talk?" she asked in a fake reporter voice, using her hand as a microphone.
"well, yesterday, i was sitting on the couch watching tv, and out of no where my mom starts blasting music from the 80's and comes running out of the kitchen, with her hair all crazy and starts to dance like no one's watching." i said with a chuckle.
"that sounds amusing." millie said with a smile. "how about you, ms. brown? what do you have to contribute?" i said pretending to be a reporter like millie was. she smiled at my humor and played along. "well, ms. sink, i was reading yesterday and listening to some soft music."
she started to laugh uncontrollably, "and ava comes in with her hair in a high ponytail, and her clothes all crazy, and starts dancing to my music, jumping on my bed."
i fell onto my back next to millie and we laughed for a good minute.
time skip to later that night
millie's pov:
"millie, we have to start getting ready for the party!" sadie yelled to me as she came out of the kitchen. "wait, is it already that time??" i yelled back, not wanting to take my eyes off the movie.
"yes!!! now pause the movie and get in here!" she said in a playful tone. "alright, alright." i said as i slid off of the couch and walked into the kitchen were sadie was. "you know, if we're going to get ready, we should probably go up to my room." i said to sadie as she looked at me, dumbfounded.
"yeah... duh." she said like she knew. "come on." i said as i grabbed onto her arm dragging her to my room. "you can let go now." sadie demanded, i didn't realize i was holding her hand so tight. "oh, sorry." i said as i let go awkwardly.
"let's pick our outfits." she said snapping right back to her silly self. she ran to my closet, and grabbed some clothes, throwing them out and making my room a mess.
whatever. it was destined to get dirty sooner or later no matter who came over.
after sadie stepped out and started changing, i went into my closet and grabbed a cherry red halter top, with some washed out high waist skinny jeans, and my white converse high tops.
sadie finished getting changed, and she was wearing a light pink tied shirt that said 'cute' at the top left corner, with some jean shorts and her adidas.
"we look cute sades!" i said as i looked into the mirror. she nodded and ran into the bathroom. "what now?" i asked with a smile, following her into the bathroom.
"can you do my makeup please please please??" she begged holding my makeup bag up to her face. "alright, but let me do mine first." i said taking the makeup bag from her hands playfully.

i had finished mine and sadie's makeup, and i had to say, we looked pretty hot.
i put some clear lip gloss on her, with some mascara, and a light brown eye shadow. for me, i put on a red lip, some mascara, and a light sparkly shade of eye shadow.
sadie lightly curled her hair, and with mine being so short, i put it in little space buns. i have to admit, i liked it better long, but i like to try new things every once in a while.
sadie and i walked out of my house, and down the block to where the party was. when we got to the house, i recognized it. gaten matarazzo. it was his house, i had seen him in the hallways a little bit during the school year, and he seemed like a pretty fun person.
"mills! come on!!" sadie said as she ran up to the door, dragging me along as i giggled about nothing. "i'm coming sadie, i'm coming!" i said in between laughs.
third person pov:
millie and sadie walked into the matarazzo household, a strong smell of alcohol and cigar smoke slapping them in the faces. "oh my god do parties always smell like this??" millie asked sadie as she held her nose. "yes, you get used to it." sadie said as she yanked millie's hand from her nose. millie started to cough, but she got used to it in a minute or two.
"cmon, let's go get a drink." sadie said as she dragged millie into the kitchen. "woah sades." millie said as the girl grabbed two red solo cups out of the cabinet and poured in some 'lemonade.' the red head handed the cup to millie, and she was hesitant to take a sip, but she did it anyways.
"oh my god." millie said as the liquid burned in her throat. "sadie how can you drink this stuff." she said swaying back and forth. "because i'm a big girl." sadie said, her words a little slurred. how is she drunk already? millie wondered as she walked out of the kitchen, with the red solo cup still in her hand, taking small sips as she walked around the party.
the short haired brunette walked to the dance floor, and started to dance a little bit. she then bumped into someone oh so familiar.
"hey babe." the deep voice said as he snaked his hands around millie's waist. "get of of me romeo!" millie yelled as she ripped romeo's hands off of her waist. "aw, poor millie, can't handle the smallest thing." romeo cooed to her. but millie didn't care, she walked off and up the stairs.
she walked into a room where she found some people she recognized, including sadie. the girl saw millie and shot her head up instantly. "mills mills mills." sadie said, gripping onto millie trying not to fall over. "what do you want red?" millie asked, clearly annoyed that she has agreed to come to the party.
"come play truth or dare with us." sadie tried to say, pulling millie over to the circle of people. there were seven people, and one of them caught millie's eye. it was an older looking boy, with pale skin, freckles, dark curly hair, and chocolate brown eyes i could find myself getting lost in.
and then there was the lips. they looked so plump. so full. i can imagine kissing them. millie what the hell?? you cannot fall for a mysterious boy just by looking at him. you can't fall for him. you can't trust boys. no boys tonight.
and boy, she wasn't ready for the night ahead of her.
