general pov:
it had been four hours since millie and finn met at the park. four hours of fun, four hours of memories, four hours of developed feelings.
the two were having the time of their lives. right now, the pair were walking in a grassy field, while blowing dandelion bits in each other's faces. it was quite amusing. "finn! stop, oh my gosh it's getting in my hair!" millie said with the biggest smile, laughing so hard she fell on the ground. "wait stay right in that position and keep laughing!" finn said as he pulled his phone out. he quickly took a picture of millie, amazed by her beauty.
"i got the picture!" finn said, raising his phone in the air. "you took a picture? ew! i probably look ugly." millie said, looking over finn's shoulder, resting her chin on it. finn unlocked his phone, showing the millie the picture he took.
"you look stunning." he said quietly, hoping millie didn't hear. she heard.
rowan's pov: (HAHA U GUYS ARE GONNA BE SO OBLIVIOUS)
"mom, can i please go to the nearest park or something? we did just move here after all!" i complained to my mother, who just moved our whole family across the world.
"sure sweetie. just be back by 6." she said, smiling at me with an apologetic look in her eyes. "thank you, i'll see you later." i said as i slipped on my black converse, walking out the door.
i needed a distraction. after the incident i need a break from my family. i decided to listen to some billie eilish. her music always seems to sooth me. i clicked my phone on, and pressed shuffle on the 'eilish.'
sittin all alone, mouth full of gum. in the drive way.
i hummed the sweet tune as i kept walking, farther and farther away from my problems. after what seemed like decades, i opened my eyes and found myself in a park. there were very few people. i heard laughter, so i followed the lovely sound.
when i reached where the sound was coming from, there was a pair of teens, probably a couple, blowing dandelion bits into each others faces and taking photographs.
i guess i wasn't paying attention, again, because the next thing i know i'm on the floor of a grassy field with a small brunette haired girl on top of me.
i heard a gasp, then weight was taken off of my stomach. "oh my god!!" i hear a feminine voice say. "are you ok? i'm so so so so so so so so so sorry! i wasn't paying attention." the voice said. i propped myself up on my elbows, squinting. in front of me, there was a beautiful girl with brown eyes and short, silky brown hair.
behind her, was an older looking boy, gripping her waist, whispering sweet thing in her ear, i could hear him saying 'it's not your fault love,' 'the girl is ok, don't feel bad, it was an accident, all if well and happy.' and 'you're so so beautiful, you know that?'
the boy had dark, mysterious brown eyes, and raven black curls. from where i was sitting, there were freckles dusted across his face, and he was very pale- compared to the girl.
i snapped out of my trance, and looked the pretty girl in the eyes. "i'm alright. and it wasn't your fault, i was the one paying attention." i said, standing up and dusting myself off. "thank god, i thought i hurt you for a second. i'm millie." she said, holding her hand out for me to shake. "nice to meet you millie, i'm rowan." millie smiled, and introduced who seemed to be her boyfriend.
"this is finn." she said looking up at him and scrunching her face. i could tell she was very happy. she wiggled out of his grip and walked the other way with me. "i haven't really seen you around, are you new here?" millie asked me. "uh, yeah... i just moved here a couple days ago from across the state." i explained. i can't tell her why. not yet. i barely know her. millie nodded, and continued walking. "where are we g-going?" i asked the kind girl. "oh, just the coffee shop!" she squeaked. "oh, what about, your boyfriend back there?" millie stopped.
"boyfriend?" she blushed profusely. "he's not my boyfriend... yet." she said, the last part quieter than the other. i nodded, and mumbled a quiet 'oh,' and we continued walking to the coffee shop.
millie's pov:
rowan and i headed back to the park, drinks in our hands. "i can introduce you to my friends!" i said, and rowan nodded her head with a warm smile. "thank you for being so kind to me." i gave her a grin, and continued walking towards finn.
when finn saw rowan and i walking with coffee, he instantly brightened up. "thanks mills!" he uttered. i winked at him, and asked rowan for her phone number.
~
rowan had left, and thanked finn and i for being so nice to her. "you seemed to like her." finn said as we were getting into the car. "yeah, i'm glad we ran into her today. she seemed a little upset, and... out of it." finn nodded, turning the car engine on. "thank you for today finnie." i said, pecking his cheek and turning the radio on.
the rest of the drive was quiet, except for the sweet tune playing in the background.
