the brunette was overjoyed, she was genuinely happy, she was excited for what was to come. but, if she agreed to this promise, she would forever wonder what would be different is she declined. she would wonder, would i be in pain like this if i had said no? would i feel this burning in my chest if i hadn't agreed? or, the girl would forever wonder what it'll be like because she agreed. would i be this happy if i had said no? would i be feeling these butterflies if i had declined? she may never know. but this moment, this moment right here, right now, is the moment that will answer all of her questions. this moment mustn't be interrupted.

"yes." the girl finally responded. finn looked up, "yeah?" he said, laughing. "yes!" millie said, jumping into his arms, hugging him like it was the last time she would ever see him. finn released the girl from his icy grip, caressing her cheek, looking into her beautiful brown eyes. "i'm glad i finally told you." he confessed. millie blushed, "me too." she responded. finn brushed a piece of hair out of her face and gently rubbed circles around millie's cheek.

if he's trying to play with me, it's working. because i really want to kiss him. millie thought while looking at the beautiful boy. she opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. she tried again, and all that came out was, "kiss me please." finn smiled, leaned in, and connected their lips.

this time, it was a soft kiss, it was gentle and enjoyable. millie wrapped her arms around finn's neck and pulled him closer. finn snaked his hands around millie's waist and did the same. their lips moved in sync, back and forth. they fit perfectly. almost like a puzzle piece.

finn pulled away, out of breath. he looked back down at millie, who was already looking at him. they just blushed and looked away. millie's lips were swollen and red. finn's hair was messier than usual. it was quite obvious that they had shared a kiss—
or two. "finn..." millie started, holding back a laugh. "yes?" he responded, not knowing what was so funny.

"it's so obvious we were just kissing." finn smirked. "so?" he said as he stepped closer. "let everyone find out. let them know you're mine." finn whispered, wrapping his hand around her waist once again and kissing her once more before walking back into the house. millie smiled and shook her head, walking back into the house.

it's better an oops than a what if.

it was now noon, and millie was bored out of her mind. she hadn't done anything all day. right now, she way sitting on her bed, finn next to her, scrolling through her instagram feed. "finn, come here." millie said nudging finn's arm. "why?" he asked, clicking his phone off. "because," millie said, turning her body so it was facing finn. "i need to post something. and what better to post than to post something with you?" she explained. finn nodded, and took a picture with millie.

the girl smiled when she saw the photo. "perfect!!!" she said, squealing. finn just laughed and rolled his eyes, walking out of the room and into the kitchen.

gaten and caleb were in their shorts, playing video games while noah and sadie played uno. "hey guys." finn said. everyone looked up from what they were doing and sprinted over to finn. "DID MILLIE SAY YES????" gaten screeched. "dude, shut up!" he said blushing. "sorry! did she or not?!" gaten questioned.

"how the hell did you guys know??" finn asked, blushing even more. "cause caleb told us." sadie responded, playing with a strand of her hair. "caleb, man what the hell??" finn said, laughing but still mad. "sorry dude it slipped out." finn rolled his eyes and laughed. "well, since you guys are so curious, she said yes." everyone screamed a and went back to what they were doing. finn just shrugged his shoulders and walked up the stairs back to millie.

when he walked into the room, he found millie laughing. she probably heard that conversation... finn thought. "i love them." she said giggling. "me too." i responded, sitting next to her. it was quiet for a moment, and the next thing i know, i hear a groan from millie. "what?" i asked, looking at the small girl. "i'm so bored! let's do something." millie replied, jumping off of the bed.

"what are you doing??" finn said watching millie lay on the floor. "i'm thinking shut up." millie responded, staring out the window, looking at the ocean. finn just watched her. he was quite mesmerized by the small things she did. after what felt like hours, millie let out a loud gasp.

"WE SHOULD GET ICE CREAM." she yelled, popping up from the floor and running down the stairs to tell everyone else. finn just smiled and shook his head. i guess we're getting ice cream.

millie, noah, sadie, finn, gaten, and caleb walked the streets searching for an ice cream shop. millie and sadie were messing around with each other behind everyone while finn, noah, gaten, and caleb laughed at the silly pair. "cmon girls," noah said. "the ice cream shop is right around the corner."

the two squealed and ran to the ice cream shop. when they walked in, there was an instant smell of waffles that hit them right in the face. "it smells go good in here!!!" sadie whisper shouted. "oh my gosh it does!" millie replied. "let's get ice cream!!!!" sadie excitedly said looking at all the different flavors.

once the others got into the shop, everyone ordered and finn payed even though caleb offered to chip in a bit. finn declines saying he would happily pay for his friends. what a sweet boy. the friends walked out of the ice cream shop, licking their sweet treats and enjoying the warm sun.

what a great way to spend the last week of summer.
