the sun was shining into the teen's room. her purple polka-dotted curtains were wide open because of company last night. she looked to her right, and she saw the top of sadie's head. silly girl. she thought. millie looked at the time, and it was six o'clock in the morning. "sades, wake up." millie yelled into the redheads ear. "no. mills, it's six. thirty more minutes please." sadie mumbled, pulling the blanket over her ginger locks. millie just rolled her eyes and yanked the blanket off of her bed, making sadie open her eyes and flip the brunette off. "fine." sadie said, walking into the bathroom to splash water on her face.

millie got out some clothes for the two, knowing sadie had no energy to do it herself. she pulled out a pair of grey joggers, a white top that stopped right below her belly button, and one of finn's hoodies she took from him. for sadie, she grabbed a pair of black joggers, a white cropped top that ended below her belly button as well, and a navy green zip up.

once the redhead got out of the bathroom, millie went in and washed her face. "mills can you dutch braid my hair please." sadie asked, standing in the doorway watching millie. "sure sades, let me get dressed and i'll be right out." sadie closed her eyes and smiled at the brunette. millie closed the door, brushing her hair and changing into her outfit.

millie walked out of the bathroom, tossing her pjs on her bed and opening a drawer to get a pair of socks out. she slipped the socks on her cold feet and went over to her desk where sadie was. "ready?" millie asked the tired girl. "yeah." she mumbled, rubbing her eyes. millie smiled, brushing out sadie's hair and parting it. she started to braid, and hummed a sweet tune while doing so. "why am i so tired??" sadie whined, making millie giggle. "because, silly, you went to bed at one in the morning and woke up five hours later. it's not summer anymore, you have to get to bed by at least ten." millie told the girl, acting like her mother. "ok, mom." sadie grumbled. "shush, let me braid your hair in peace." millie responded, shaking her head.

it was now seven, and the girls were all ready. millie grabbed some yogurt and poured granola in it, while sadie sat at the table eating some fruit loops and an apple. "almost done?" millie yelled from the kitchen, closing the fridge and getting a spoon. "yes!" sadie hollered back. the brunette smiled, and got her phone out, texting finn.

millie; sadie & i are almost ready

finnie; ok, text me when you're ready to leave, i'll come and pick ya up

millie: thank you

finnie: anything for you

finnie: see you soon :)

millie clicked her phone off, setting it on the counter and finishing her last few bites of yogurt. sadie walked into the kitchen and set her bowl in the sink. millie threw her yogurt cup in the garbage, and walked up stairs to brush her teeth, sadie following. "cmon sades, we have to be out the door in five minutes." millie said as she brushed her teeth. "i know i know." she replied, rolling her eyes and putting the toothbrush in her mouth.

"someone's grumpy this morning!" millie said in a sing-song voice. "because you woke me up at six! i could've still been asleep. who gives a shit if we're late." sadie said, huffing. "whatever silly." millie replied, spitting the toothpaste in the sink and rinsing her toothbrush, putting it back into the cabinet. she walked out of the bathroom and down the stairs, slipping her shoes on and getting her bag. she waited for sadie, and texted finn they were both ready. sadie came down the stairs, slipping her shoes on as well and grabbing her bag.

there was a honk outside, meaning finn was there to pick them up. "cmon." millie said, grabbing her keys and locking the door. the pair walked over to finn's car, getting in. millie sat in the passenger seat while sadie sat in the back with caleb, noah, gaten, rowan, and grace. millie didn't know grace very well, but they had talked a few times and she was really sweet. rowan had run into millie and finn at the park, and they were now close as ever. millie really enjoyed rowan's company and was happy she met her. "morning knuckle heads." millie chirped while buckling. "morning brown." noah responded. millie smiled at her best friend, and turned back around to give finn a quick kiss. "hi baby." he whispered. "hi handsome." she whispered back, scrunching her nose and smiling.

"goals!" rowan said, snapping pictures of the couple. yes, it had only been a day since they confirmed to their friends they were dating, but to them it seemed like they had been together for months. finally, they were together. "shut it." millie said, giggling at rowan. finn drove to the hellhole they were all forced to go everyday, deep in his thoughts. millie observed him, seeing how serious his face was. "something wrong?" millie asked, wondering why he was acting so serious. "no, just thinking." he responded, focusing on the road. "what're you thinking about handsome?" millie questioned. "life." he replied, scrunching his nose at the small girl. millie giggled, looking out the window, seeing a pretty view and snapping a few photos.

the friends arrived at school right on time. everyone stepped out of the car and walked into the halls, getting things out of their lockers. the bell rang, and everyone scurried off to class. finn walked millie to class, giving her a kiss before walking to his class. when he walked in, there was a sub. "hey kid." the teacher said.

"mr. harbour?"
