the best friends ran around millie's room, pulling clothes out from drawers and throwing them on the floor and the bed. "i have nothing to wear! i'm going to look horrible!" millie yelled, pulling out a pair of blue ripped jeans, a cropped shirt, and some white vans. sadie pulled out a white skater skirt, a black top, and a pair of flats.

"switch!!" the girls yelled, switching outfits. they smiled and nodded at each other, millie running into the bathroom and changing while sadie combed her wet hair. millie ran out of the bathroom, screaming, "my hair is straight i need to curl it!" the red head sighed, pulling a chair into the bathroom and brushing millie's hair. she then blow dried it and got out the curling iron.

after an hour, every strand of her hair was curled. millie went over to her bed, lying down on it. sadie plopped down next to the girl, sending streaks of her beautiful best friend. "sades, knock it off i don't want to be on your snapchat. show yourself, you're amazingly beautiful." millie complimented. sadie blushed, rolling off of the bed. "thank you mills."

millie unlocked her phone to see a text from finn. "shit sadie! finn's almost here." she screamed. "he's going to be amazed." sadie responded, laughing at her silly best friend. millie replied to finn and opened instagram to see she had a dm from someone named jacob. "who the hell is this sadie??" she asked, nudging the red head. sadie looked over at millie's screen, reading the dm from the mysterious boy.

millie put her phone down, going into the kitchen to get a glass of water. before she could get anything, there was a knock at the door. "SADIE HE'S HERE." she screamed. sadie ran down the stairs with her phone and a mint. she handed the two things to millie, wishing her good luck. "thank you sades, love you." millie said before slipping her shoes on and opening the door to see a very handsome finn waiting for her. "hello handsome." she said to the boy, smiling. he was wearing black jeans, a white top and a pair of vans. his hair was perfectly messy, which millie found very attractive, and his cheeks were tinted with a red color.

"hello beautiful." he responded, sticking his hand out for millie to grab, which she happily did. "bye mills, have fun," sadie whispered to the girl before she stepped out of the house. millie smiled, following finn to his car. "where are we going?" millie asked. finn looked at millie and smirked. "you'll see." millie just rolled her eyes, smiling at the boy. finn blew the windows down and turned the radio on. "can i play something?" millie sweetly asked. finn hummed in response, handing the aux cord to millie, who plugged it into her phone. she sat and thought for a second before putting on a song. she cheesed at finn before the song started.

"i used to run base like juan pierre. now i run the base hi hat and snare. i used to bag girls like birkin bags. now i bag b. brooklyn bay where they birthed me at. now i be everywhere, the nerve of rap. the audacity to have me whipping curtains back. me and b, she about to sting. stand back." millie rapped, dancing as she did so. finn smiled, admiring the brunette.

finn sang the next part, "baby... seems like everywhere i go i see you." millie blushed, turning to the window to cool off her hot cheeks. "from your eyes, your smile it's like i breathe you." she sang to finn. the pair danced to the upbeat song, laughing at each others silly actions. "your sexiness is so appealing i can't let it go!" millie screamed, looking at finn. he smirked and looked back at the road. millie continued screaming the lyrics out the window until it ended.

"you're cute when you're happy." finn stated. millie blushed, thanking finn. the rest of the car ride was silent, except for the quiet music in the background. millie hummed to the tune, bobbing her head back and forth softly. finn admired the pretty sound, parking and turning off the engine. millie hopped out of the car, her eyes widening. there was a gorgeous view of the mountains in front of her. she looked to her right, where there was a picnic set up and a blanket. 

she looked over to finn who was grabbing something out of the trunk of the car. she ran up to him, wrapping her hands around his waist and squeezing his body. finn jumped at the sudden contact, but when he turned around to see millie latched to him he smiled, turning around fully so he was now looking down at her. "thank you for doing this finnie." millie whispered. 

"anything for you mills." finn said, walking over to the blanket and sitting down. "i have to tell you something." millie nodded, waiting for finn to speak. 

here goes nothing. finn sucked in a breath and let it out. "i like you millie. you already know that. but what you don't know is how you make me feel. you make me feel so happy. you're the light of my life even though i've known you for such a short amount of time. every time i see you, i can't help but smile. you're amazing, you blow me away, you make me so so happy. not being around you is torture. i never thought i would fall for someone this hard, but i did. i fell for you. i'm so in love with you millie, and i have been since the day i met you. i love every single thing about you. they way you cover your face when you get embarrassed, the way you sing every song that comes on the radio, how you're so careless of what other people think. you make me speechless, and i couldn't live without your smile. so, knowing all of this, would you be my girlfriend?" finn said, letting out a breath he didn't know he was holding in. 

millie was smiling her biggest smile, she couldn't talk, she was so shocked. can i trust him? is he really telling the truth? was this a silly dare to mess with my emotions? no... millie, don't think so low of finn. he likes you. he really does. all she did was look at her hands. finn grabbed her chin, lifting it up so they were staring right into each other's eyes. millie's mind was somewhere else, somewhere far away from that little spot they were at. her mind was searching for something in finn's eyes, guilt, anger, hatred... something to show this was all sick prank. but she couldn't find anything but love and pure happiness. real happiness. she couldn't help but smile. she wanted so badly to say yes, so that's exactly what she did. "yes." millie whispered, snapping out of her thoughts. finn's face turned from nervous to overjoyed in point two seconds. 

he jumped up from where he was sitting and picked millie up, twirling her in the air. "baby! baby! baby!" he screamed. "millie is mine! she's all mine!" millie laughed, throwing her head back doing so. finn put her down, and kissed her. they kissed for about 30 seconds and then they broke apart. they touched foreheads, smiling and laughing. 

finally, they were happy.
