AN: I am planning on doing a couple of these soulmate AUs, and will hopefully get some different ships in too. I'm thinking Jeffmads for the next one, comment your opinion below.

There was writing on Alexander's arm. It was cute and wavy, stating simply "doctor time, 7:00." Alexander stared at it for a while, wishing he knew where this person was and where they were going.

If your soulmate wrote on their body, it showed on you, and vice versa. Alexander almost never wrote on himself, but his soulmate seemed to enjoy it, and Alexander liked to watch as the smooth black ink appeared on his wrists. Sometimes the reminders would be accompanied by cute drawings of flowers or small animals, and his soulmate seemed to find turtles particularly interesting. Alex found himself growing more attracted to turtles with every picture.

It was Friday night, and naturally Alex found himself with Lafayette and Hercules at their dorm, drinking and laughing as they watched old movies. It had been several hours since Alex had arrived, and Lafayette was already tiring of their present activities, and he paced restlessly across the kitchen.

Hercules was slowly giving in. "I won't take you to the bar, but we could go downtown for a walk if you want to,"

Lafayette stopped and ran to the door. "Let's go then, mon amis!"

Lafayette rushes out without a coat, which Hercules grabbed from a rack near the couch. Turning to Alex, he muttered, "I love him, but he is a handful when he's drunk,"

Alex laughed and followed him, but his mind was drifting towards his soulmate. He wondered vaguely what they were doing just now, and even brought himself to wonder what their gender was. Alexander was bisexual, so it wasn't like he really cared, but his preference towards males had been evident in the last few months.

Gay felt nice, to be honest.

They were piled in Hercules' car and headed downtown when the unexpected happened. A pickup truck slammed into the rear side door of the car, and though it wasn't the side that Alex was sitting on, the force was enough to render him unconscious. The glass shards lodged in his skin and his arm was broken against the wall.

Alex saw black.

••• time skip brought to you by my crush on this one person •••

When Alex woke up, the room was starkly white, and the color gave him a headache. Looking to his left, he saw a tall heart monitor showing a steady pulse. Looking to his right, he saw a really hot doctor sitting on a chair. He laid back down and closed his eyes.

Wait. That hot guy.

"Are you my doctor?"

The man chuckled. His laugh was pretty and youthful. "No, I'm only an apprentice to a doctor here. But I do have some significance to you,"

Alex sat up slowly, showing interest. "And what would that be?"

The man chuckled. "Look at your arm, and then look at mine,"

Alex glanced at his arm. It still read "doctor time, 7:00" but now had a few more turtles drawn around it. When Alex looked up, he saw identical marks on the man.

"I-I thought you had an appointment or something, not that you're training to be a doctor," Alex stuttered.

He nodded. "Well, do you like what you see?"

"You're hot,"

"You are too. Can we, I don't know, hug or something?"

Alex nodded and leaned forward, pulling the man closer with his non-bandaged arm and holding him there until he felt a pain in his side. He squeaked involuntarily, and the man instantly pulled away.

"Is it your side, dear?"

Alex blushed a little at the name. "Yeah, what exactly happened to me?"

"There was a car that crashed into yours. Your friends weren't seriously injured, but you have a minor concussion, a broken arm, and there was a shard of glass in your side, along with some minor cuts elsewhere. You've only been asleep for a couple hours, and I think your friends are waiting for you. Should I show them in?"

Alex nodded, but grabbed the man's arm before he could stand. "What's your name?"

He smiled softly. "I'm John,"

"Alexander,"

"I know," John winked and left.

AN: It's short but I'm planning on a sequel. Peace out,
