Alexander was a hunter.

He killed monsters.

It was something he was always proud of.

And then he met John.

•••••••••••

John was a classic vampire, living near an abandoned railway with an ancient church down the street. Hardly anyone lived all the way out there, so John was free to feed on the herds of wild sheep that dotted the rocky environment. He was lonely, but that was fine. It wasn't like he could go out in the sunlight and meet people anyway.

Then Alex came with the intent of exterminating him, and he saw an interesting opportunity. If he could bite Alex and turn him into a vampire, he would never be alone, and they could spend enternity together. He might struggle at first, but he would eventually rely on John and think him a companion.

John crept about the tunnels for two whole days, observing Alex's behavior, when Alex called out to him.

"Listen, I know you're here. I'm tired of playing around."

John flitted to the ground and turned from his bat form to his human state. "I am not playing. If you fought with me, you would die. I don't want to kill you."

Alex grimaced. "I've destroyed countless of your kind. I can take you,"

John rushed forward, pinning Alex to the cave wall and ripping the gun he carried from his hands. "Listen, Love~"

"You creep,"

John pulled back slightly. "My apologies, but I was not the one who invaded someone else's home in hopes for their corpse. You should leave,"

"Not until you're dead,"

"Why?"

Alex's eyes widened. He has never thought much about the question. "Because I got a complaint from someone a few miles from here. You could kill people,"

"I have never killed anyone,"

"But you can!"

"So can you! I'm complaining right now; who's going to kill you for me?"

Alex stared into John's bright eyes. "I..."

"Finally at a loss for words. You're exposed, Hamilton, what will you do now? What's your next move?" John scowled.

Alex pressed forward and kissed him, feeling his fangs as they pressed against his lip, and John reeled back in surprise. Then recovering from shock, John wrapped a tentative arm around Alex's waist. Alex leaned into him.

Pulling away slightly, John started to lean towards Alex's neck. He stopped when his mouth hovered above the artery, fighting his instincts.

"I'm sorry, this is wrong,"

Alex grimaced. "No, just do it,"

"Alex, I can't condemn you,"

"I've killed so many mons— creatures, I deserve whatever you want to give me."

John moved closer so his mouth was pressed lightly to his neck. "This will be like death for you. Go live your life, please, go be human while you still can,"

"No,"

"Okay, but you'll be stuck with me,"

"I could live with that,"

Alex tensed and steeled himself for the pain. John sensed it and tightened his grip on Alex's waist, then put a small kiss over the man's neck. John pulled away.

"W-what?"

"I won't do something like that. Go home and get some sleep, then come back tomorrow. If you still want this in, say, a month, then I'll bite you. But go home,"

"Could I stay here? With you?"

"I don't know why you want to stay with a monster,"

"You're not a monster. I am. I'm the only one who's committed a crime."

"You can stay. Leave whenever you want, I won't hold you here,"

Alex glanced down. They were still standing very close. "Of course. Do you sleep?"

"I can. I do,"

"Would you like to sleep with me for a while? You don't have to, but it's cold down here,"

John smiled softly. "I'll keep you warm,"

"Thank you,"

John took Alex's hand and pulled him towards the front of the tunnel where the sun was beginning to rise. John nudged Alex towards a bare mattress in the shadows, then laid down himself, and gestured for Alex to lay beside him. Alex obeyed, and soon fell into silence as he nuzzled into John's chest.

John ran his fingers through Alex's hair. "Alex, do you really love me?"

"I think I do. You're an amazing being, John."

"Th-thanks,"

Alex cupped John's cheek and pulled him closer. "I really think I might want to live this way. It can't be so bad if I'm with you,"

"It's not fun. But maybe we could travel by night and go places. Take a boat to Italy and go up through England. We could make it good, if you decide to stay."

"I think I will,"

AN: I don't even know what to think about what I just wrote. Sorry for the torture session, but it's getting hard to come up with writing ideas. Please do requests, and I can do other ships, and even do one line stories where you give me a price of dialogue or something. I'm kinda desperate guys. Ily
