That's all Alexander could think. After all, how could a respectable man kiss another man with such ardor on purpose?

John had slipped out immediately after the kiss had occurred, heading off to God knows where while Alexander laid hopelessly on his cot. 'It was just an in the moment thing,'. Why the hell would he have said that to John?

It was most certainly not an in the moment thing. It was an expression of how Alexander felt. It was 100% real. So when an hour passed, John came back, and the pair were both lying on opposite cots, Alexander said softly,

"Are you still awake?"

John sighed and nodded.

"I'm sorry,"

"No, Alexander, I'm sorry. I'm sorry I ever thought you could love me,"

"John,"

"Shut the hell up. I know I'm a sodomite. Don't rub it in,"

Alexander pushed to his feet and kneeled beside John's cot. "John,"

"What,"

"John, it wasn't an accident,"

"What was it then?" He tried not to sound too hopeful.

"A, um," Alexander gulped. "What do you want it to be?"

And that wasn't the answer John was looking for. "Get out of here,"

"No, I mean, how far are you willing to go? How far will you go with me? For me? For us? Laurens, this could mean your life. You're setting yourself up for failure if you want to be with me,"

John's eyes widened. "I-um,"

"It's okay, I understand," Alexander started to pull away, back to his own space.

John seized him by the collar and pulled him down, slamming their mouths together in a wild fervor. Alexander climbed onto his cot and straddled him without breaking the kiss, then grabbed his waist firmly. John pushed for every bit of contact he could get, with Alex always maintaining control. When John broke away, panting, Alex leaned down to his neck and whispered,

"Good boy,"

John shivered, pulling him back into the kiss. Alexander was chuckling when he pulled back.

"Eager, much?"

"You tease too much,"

"How so?" He said, pushing his hips against Laurens'.

Laurens groaned softly. "C-cut it out unless you'll follow through,"

"Ooh, you would like that, wouldn't you?"

Laurens blushed. "Well,"

"Fine, let's have fun, dearest,"
