AN: Get hype AGAIN

Also I'm writing this during class, and while we're allowed to have our phones, idk if I'm allowed to write something that doesn't -necessarily- have appropriate content. *winks aggressively*

Alexander threw on his cloak and stepped into the snow. John had been gone for over an hour now, and Alex was in desperate need of his opinion.

Or maybe just his company, but he would never admit that.

Alexander stepped into the trees, where John usually went, but all he found were some half-snowed in footprints. "John?"

There was a muffled response from deeper in the woods, so Alexander continued on. Eventually, he found John sitting at the base of a tree, looking blankly into the distance.

"Laurens, what's the matter?"

John sighed. "Nothing, Alexander, why are you out here?"

"You've been here for over an hour. You're going to get frostbite,"

"I'll be fine," John's voice dropped to a mutter. "Or if I'm not, who cares?"

Alexander had keen hearing, though. "I care, Laurens. Come back,"

"I can't, not with you,"

"Why? Did I do something wrong?"

John gritted his teeth. "Yes! Yes, you did! I stand in the same room with you and I want to kiss and embrace you! I want to stay with you, I want to marry you! You fill my head with these unholy thoughts every time you walk by, and I can hardly control myself!"

John bowed his head and leaned into Alex's chest.

Alex slowly put his hands on John's shoulders. "It's not unholy," he said softly.

"It doesn't matter. You'll never feel the same,"

"Yes, I do,"

John froze and looked up at him. "What?"

"I love you too, Laurens. Romantic love,"

John wrapped his arms around Alex and they stood like that for a while, freezing and at the same time the warmest they had ever been. Alex pulled away slightly, but still kept his arm firmly about John's waist.

"Let's go inside, love, it's too cold out here,"

John nodded weakly and allowed Alex to lead him away. "Thank you," he said as they reached the tent flap.

Alex shook his head. "I love you. Don't thank me,"

John smiled at him- the first genuine smile in weeks, and headed inside. Alex watched John go and lay down on his cot, still awake but clearly trying to ignore it.

Alex walked over, swaying his hips slightly. "You look a little lonely. You should come lay with me,"

John blushed. "Alexander,"

Alexander winked. John rolled his eyes.

"No tricks, Lex," he got up and laid in Alex's cot.

"No tricks, mon cher," Alex curled around him lovingly.

AN: not as long as I planned but it's something. sorrrrrryyyyy
