AN: I am pretty excited about this for no reason at all. :))))

John hurried back to the car. They were six hours away from their dorms with no money for a hotel and it was freezing outside.

Alex, Lafayette, and Hercules were waiting for him. "Was it open?"

They were pulled up by a small convenience store that was set way out in the country. "No,"

Alex huffed and day back in his seat. He was cute when he was mad.

John, no.

Lafayette was in the driver's seat. "Herc, when you said you got us lost, I didn't think you meant no phone signal and impossible to find a main road,"

"Well, I thought it was implied,"

Lafayette rolled his eyes. "We could stay parked here for the night, mon amis, but the we can't let the car battery run down. The heat can't be on,"

Alex groaned. "We don't have much choice, do we? I'll get the blankets,"

Alex reached behind him, exposing a bicep that made John blush. There were two blankets in the back, so Alex handed one to the front seat and scooted closer to John.

"Hey," he said softly, so only John could hear him.

John nodded, but couldn't do much other than stare. Alex chuckled.

Lafayette crawled across the center arm rest and squeezed in next to Hercules. "Better try to get warm, it'll be a long night,"

Hercules nodded and fell asleep quickly, Lafayette following.

That left Alex and John.

Alone.

In the backseat of a car, huddled zero feet apart cause they're totally gay.

Alex broke the silence. "So, John, you tired?"

"Not really,"

"Me neither. Wanna talk?"

"Sure. How are you and Eliza?"

Alex looked confused. "She's good, what do you mean?"

"You guys are dating, aren't you?"

Alex laughed. "Of course not! I lean towards guys, you know,"

John's eyes widened. What was that he spotted on the horizon? A? Chance? "No, I didn't,"

Alex chuckled again. "Wow, I thought it'd be pretty obvious since I like," he stopped abruptly.

"Like who? Alex, spill," Johns eyes gleamed.

Alex turned so he was facing John and pulled him so he was almost in Alex's lap. "You, Freckles,"

John's brain shut down. He wasn't thinking anymore, he didn't need to, his body moved for him. He pressed his mouth firmly to Alex's, then wrapped his arms around the other man's neck.

When John pulled away, all he could manage was, "It is so cold out here,"

Alex pulled him abruptly against his chest and started rubbing his back up and down. John was startled (not that he wasn't absolutely loving it) and said meekly,

"Alex, whatcha doin?"

"You said you were cold. People can share body warmth,"

John realized the the cold in his fingers was fading where he touched Alex's skin. "Please don't stop,"

Alex kissed John's head and continued petting him while he threw the blanket back over them. They rested there in blissful silence before John fell asleep and Alex couldn't resist sleeping next to him.
