(Uwah?)

"Sheriff! Bandits 'are tryin' to rob the bank again!"

At the moment, Thompson, Matthew and I were currently waiting for a royal carriage to come retrieve us from Spitbucket. We were sitting at the bar in the Saloon, laughing as we shared a few jokes. It was all well and calming until the man burst in.

Thompson and I stood up immediately. "Not again..." I heard Thompson mumble in annoyance. Matthew stayed at his sit and looked at us cheerfully. "At least it's something to do! Go get those baddies!" he told us, enthusiasm lacing his voice. A look of determination washed over my face. "Let's do this." I said, adjusting my hat and marching out of the Saloon. Thompson reluctantly followed.

We emerged from the run-down building and ran straight to the bank. A few people were running out of it, screaming. I could hear gunshots. At this, worry washed over both Thompson and I. We knew that some wouldn't make it out alive here.

Loading our guns, we crept inside the best we could. There was a small space in between the door, so we hid in those spaces, and peeked out into the bank to assess the situation.

It was bad, really bad. There were three dead bodies on the floor, six other people living. They were all huddled in the corner of the room, a bandit standing in front of them. They seemed to have their hands tied together. Three other bandits were there, too; two of them getting money, one of them looting the dead bodies. It was terrible.

Thompson looked at me. "Ready?" he whispered. I nodded. He got the signal, and on the count of three, we both jumped out into the room.

"Surrender now, bandits!" I yelled. The one looting bodies' head snapped up, and he stood up straight, looking at us with a smirk. "Ehhh, howsabout we don't." he said casually, snickering at the end and raising his gun.

Thompson sighed and lowered his head. "Fine." is all that he said. The looter, who I'm assuming was the leader, cackled. "Glad that w-"

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out. There was now a bullethole going through the leader's stomach, right under his chest. His eyes widened and he coughed a little blood, and his arms wrapped around his stomach. I looked to my side. Thompson still had his gun aimed at him, and was glaring fiercely. "That's whatcha get for messin' with my town." he mumbled.

It was only a few moments before the leader dropped dead to the floor. For about 10 seconds afterwards, it was silent, as the other bandits were in shock that their leader was killed. After that ten seconds, though, they all took action. The two who were taking all the money booked towards the door. But, we were faster. I managed to shoot one in the shoulder, which made him drop everything he was holding, and Thompson got the other one in the foot, making her fall over. They both tried gathering up the money again, but Thompson walked over and had them up and cuffed before anything could be done. Meanwhile, I had my gun aimed at the one holding the townsfolk hostage. "You want some too?" I asked, my eyes narrowed. He shook his head and tried running past me and out the door, but I caught him by his bandana and I held him until Thompson came over and cuffed him. "You three won't be seein' sunlight for a looong time." he said to them. He then looked at me. "I'm takin' these three to the jail. You set them hostages free." he instructed. I nodded and ran over to the townsfolk, and started untying the ropes around their hands as Thompson led the bandits out of the building.

It was only a few minutes before I untied all six of them. "You're free to go." I said calmly. Four of them cheered, and two of them hugged in joy. Within moments, the five of them had all run out the building, most likely to their homes, or the Saloon to tell the story. I sighed in relief that it didn't get any worse than it already did. There was still a problem, though.
