"Ran are you okay?"

I blinked twice before I look at Bren. What the hell just happened?!

"Someone choose you to be a surrogate mother."

My mouth was wide open. I suddenly laughed. Is this some kind of joke.

"Is this a prank?"

Do they have any camera or what. Are the people hiding? I look at the Doctor. She was looking at me seriously.

"This is a joke right?"

I said while awkwardly laughing. She shake her head slowly. My eyes grew bigger.

"Oh no! I didn't know about this!"

Damn that man! He tricked me! Me? A surrogate mom? Is he crazy?! I do need a JOB but not a pregnancy job!

"How old are you?"

"I'm sorry. This is a mistake-"

"How old are you?"

She said cutting me from talking. I gulped before answering.

"I'm 30 years old."

She nod and wrote it in the paper. Wa-wait!

"He-hey I'm not doing this."

"Relax i'm just asking your age. Your name?"

I'm so confused. She was just asking my age but now she is asking my name!

"Ran."

She look at me. She really think i'm going to tell her my full name. She raised her brows before letting out a sighed.

"Okay Ran. My employee.. No. My friend finally decided about this surrogacy. He-I mean basically his sister decided this for him and he don't have a choice because she is annoying."

Even though she was talking in a low volume in the last part I still hear her. And telling me about that makes me more confused. I stand up. Okay! I'm leaving!

"Wait! Don't you want job?"

I stopped walking. I closed my eyes and bit my lips. What? As a surrogate mom? I thought this is just happening in a movie!

"No."

I said and go out. I didn't even look back.

I just can't believe I experienced a surrogacy job. I really thought for a second i'm in a movie!

"Ran i'm sorry I can't help you in finding job. I asked my manager about getting a new employee I forgot that we recently hire few before."

I gave her a smile to assure her i'm okay. I'm actually not okay. It's been two days since that surrogacy thing happened and I can't find a job! My pocket is getting empty I don't know what to do!

"I'll leave Franc to you Bren. I have to find a job."

Bren nod at me. I was about to go out but I stopped myself and look at Brena.

"Bren thank you."

She smile at me. I closed the door after that. Okay let's find a job!

"I'm sorry we can't accept anyone today."

"I'm sorry but we are not hiring today."

"I'm sorry but we can't accept you."

I swear this is the first time i get mad to a person who are saying sorry. I sit into the bench and cover my face using my hands. This is so frustrating. I feel so useless. Franc i'm really sorry i can't help you enough.

"Don't you want job?"

I sit up straight. Oh no! Not that job! Stop thinking about that. I hold my bag tighter and bit my lips. If i can't find a job the hospital will not help us anymore.

"Oh God please help me. I don't want that job."

I bit my lips and close my eyes. The cold wind blew into my face. I can't even hear a thing.

"Are you really sure about this?"

I take a deep breath before nodding slowly. She stand up and get her phone before dialing something. She faced to the glass wall. Just once! This is for my brother. This is for Franc.

"Pretty?"

I look at her. She was looking at my reflection while talking into the phone.

"Come on. Your brother choose her. Okay. Don't forget to tell your brother. Surprise? Don't do that to him. He doesn't like surprises. Just don't. Okay. Bye."

After that she put the phone down. She sit to her chair again and fixed her glasses.

"The lawyer is getting ready for the contract. Ran remember. The surrogacy contract is unique and this job is quite a risked. I believe you don't have any experience in child laboring."

"Do i look like a mom to you?"

"I didn't said that."

My eyebrows meet. I crossed my arms and leaned into the chair. I take a deep breath. I still end up being a mom hah.

"But i did take care a child for twelve years now."

She look at me seriously before taking a pen and wrote it in the paper. I really find it weird.

"Who's child is this?"

"My mom. It's my Brother. We lost her when my brother turned three."

She put down her pen before taking a deep breath.

"So you have experience taking care of a child. Then you already know how a pregnant woman will take care of her womb."

Yes I do. I'm always at my mother's side when she got pregnant until Franc born. I nodded. She look at me from head to toe.

"You look healthy too. You know you'll experience pain and other normal pregnancy effect."

I nodded. Silence embrace the room. No one dares to talk.

"What makes you change your mind?"

I look at her. She was playing her pen on her hand. I look at my reflection into the wall.

"I need money for my brother."

She put her pen down and look at me.

"He has cancer."

I said and hold my bag tightly. She stand up and walk to my direction.

"Don't worry we will take care of your financial needs. Your quite lucky. This contract is nothing similar than the other contract that we will do."

She hold my hand. I look at her.

"Don't worry. We will keep your brother monitored. Everything he needs will be provided. We also have Doctors to help your brother."

Really? She hold my hands tightly.

"In exchange of that take care of the child that will be living inside your body."

I feel like a cold water just wash my body. I stopped breathing for a second before taking an answer.

"Yes i will."
