Delaine

I was getting ready for Chris and Alicia’s engagement party at Michael’s place. I came out the shower to a little black, velvet box on the bed.

I sat down and opened the box. There was a pair of gold, diamond-encrusted earrings. They were gorgeous.

Inside the box was also a little piece of paper it read

                        “Wear these tonight, beautiful.” –M

In the short 3 months we’ve been together, I’ve really fallen for Michael. He makes me feel special and like there’s no one else that he has eyes for. He hasn’t had many parties since we started dating. And surprisingly, he’s been okay with me not wanting to have sex yet.

But tonight was going to be the night, after everyone left, I was going to give him what he’s been waiting for.

Alicia

Tonight is Chris and my engagement party. Tyga was throwing it for us. What a sweetheart.

I walked out the bathroom fully dress and I see Chris sitting on the far side of the bed, looking out the window.

“How do I look?” I asked. He turned towards me. He got up and walked over to me. He put his arm around my waist.

“You look wonderful.” He smiled and kissed my forehead.

“Thank you.” I blushed. “You don’t look to bad yourself.”

“Well you know, what can I say, God took his sweet time with me.” He said being cocky.

            We both laughed.

“Are you finally ready to go?” He asked me.

            “Yeah.”

Chris

We pulled into Tyga’s driveway. There was a lot less people then the last time I was here.

I was still surprised that Tyga threw this party for Alicia and me. We haven’t really talked that much since I stopped dealing for him. I’m guessing this is a peace offering.

We walked up the walkway and before we even got to the porch, the doors opened revealing the grandiose foyer. There was tiny piano music playing and a butler type guy walked up to us and greeted us. This nigga Tyga is so cliché.

“Good Evening, sir, and ma’am. I’ll direct you to where the festivities are taking place.”

We walked to the back, out the house and into the back of the house. There was lights and shit draped at the top. This part was defiantly not Ty, this was Delaine. If it were up to Ty, it would be a wild ass party with shots, hos, and music.

The first one to see us was my momma. Her face sparkled when we walked through. She got up and walked over to us. She first smiled and hugged Alicia. They got along so well. I loved that the two most important women in my life could get along this well.

Then she came to hug me. She pulled back and smiled at us. “Congratulations, you two.”

A whole flood of people came to greet us after my mom. I was cool at first with the hugging and shit but after a while that shit gets annoying. I don’t feel like touching up on all these motherfuckers. It made me uncomfortable.

But, I sat there and hugged them all. People I didn’t even know were here coming up to me and hugging me saying ‘Congrats’. Like what the fuck you don’t even know me.

Finally, Tyga came up to me.

“Wassup man?” I asked him, giving him a bear hug.

“Nothing man. Congrats. My nigga’s gonna be tied down.”

“I know right. Man, I can’t believe it myself that I’m going to marry her.”

            “I hear ya.”

“Yo, but, thanks man for the party.”

“It’s no problem and you should be directing it to Delaine. She did all the decorating and shit. All I did was give her a place and the butler thing. You liked that one?”

I laughed. “You’re a funny nigga. I was looking at it, and was like yup you can tell Tyga did this shit.”

We both laughed. I missed these times with him. This guy really knows me.

The rest of the night went real smooth. Mostly cause I was chilling with Ty the whole time. Everybody seemed to be having a good time.

I like this; when my world’s in harmony.
