Emma's POV
"Hey, wake up."
No, let me sleep.
"Come on, you have to wake up."
No, five more minutes.
"I'll freeze you."
Poke.
Whoever was trying to get me to wake up began to prod my cheek with their cold hands. Continuously poking it until I shivered.
Can't someone get some sleep around here?
"I'll seriously freeze you."
I yawned and opened my eyes. Leaning over me with their finger about to poke me again was a girl my age with brown wavy hair and golden eyes.
"What do you want?" I questioned as I yawned again.
She giggled and poked my forehead, making me shiver once again.
How can her fingers be so cold?
"You need to get up, it's evening time."
I sat up on the couch and looked around. The whole living room was deserted except for me, this chic, and some guy leaning against the wall.
Shoo you mysterious man, shoo.
"Why is the living room empty?" I questioned as I stretched.
She laughed and leaned back, placing her hands on her hips as she did so. "I told you, it's night time. People are either asleep or hanging out somewhere in this building."
"Building? You mean house?"
She laughed again. "Have you not looked out the window?"
I shook my head and stood up. Then I walked over to the gigantic window that illuminated the living room with the lights of New York. And that's when my eyes widened.
We were in a tower. Like an Empire State Building. So high up that we looked over the city. How the heck did these teens own this?
I placed my hand on the window as my mouth hung open in awe.
"I feel like I'm part of Teen Titans."
The guy leaning against the wall snorted.
"You mean those wannabe superheroes?"
I turned and glared at him. "Wannabes? Do you know how many villains they defeated? For crying out loud, they're so great they have their own reality show!"
The guy laughed and the girl spoke up. "What my brother is trying to say is that most of that stuff they do on their show is acting."
I stared at them, looking back and forth between them. Siblings? Well they did look alike. The guy also had wavy brown hair and golden eyes. Except his hair was short. And now that I look at them, they were the same height. They looked identical.
Wait a minute! Weren't there twins here? Leah and Leo Winfield, right?
I snapped my fingers and pointed at both of them. "You guys are Leah and Leo!"
The guy looked at me like he was shocked while the girl laughed. "Wow, I didn't know we were celebrities."
I shook my head while giggling. "No, I saw you guys at practice. Your powers are amazing."
Leo turned his head away from me, but I could see a heated blush sprout from his neck and onto his cheeks while Leah smiled even bigger. "Thanks! But uhh, what's your power? We only saw Moxie do her fear controlling on you."
