Emma's POV
"Isn't it beautiful? Wouldn't you say, Emma?"
My eyes slowly opened. I was looking at a starry sky as the wind blew a gentle breeze. I could tell I was really high up in the sky, lying on my back.
Wait a second. Where was I?
"Emma, wouldn't you say it's beautiful?"
I sat up to be face to face with no other than Blade.
"Blade!" I hissed, trying to jump to my feet. The problem was, I couldn't.
"Isn't it beautiful?" He questioned, gesturing to the view.
My eyes widened in horror. The city was engulfed in flames and the screaming of innocent people echoed around us. And the worst part was, me and Blade were safe on top of the tower.
"What did you do?!"
He smiled at me. "I didn't do this, Emma. You did."
What?
My heart pounded against my chest in fear of the safety of my friends. Were they okay?
"I-I did this?" I stammered.
He nodded and held out his hand, grabbing mine and pulling me up to my feet where we watched New York City burn. "We did it, together."
I yanked my hand away from his and backed away. This couldn't be right. This couldn't have happened.
"You're lying." I whispered in fear. "You're making this up."
"No Emma, I'm not. You're just afraid to see the truth."
"You're lying!"
He began to laugh hysterically, holding out his arms and twirling in circles as the heat of the flames grew.
He was insane.
"Emma! I am not lying!" He laughed. "We did this! Isn't it beautiful? Our strength combined can cast the world into destruction!"
I backed up, ready to run to the elevator to get inside the tower, but two strong arms grabbed me by the waist and spun me around.
"Scott!" I exclaimed, holding his arms. "What happened? Where is everyone?"
His face was deathly pale, and his cheeks looked sunken in.
"You did this." He groaned. "Why Emma? We trusted you."
"What?" I pulled away from his grip. "There has to be a mistake."
"We trusted you." He repeated.
"No." I quickly turned to run for the elevator, but was stopped by Rosie.
"How could you Emma? We should have never took you in. You betrayed us."
"No." I sobbed. "I didn't do anything!"
A scream echoed from behind me, and I quickly turned. Moxie was holding a bloody Dylan in her arms as he wheezed and coughed.
"You're killing us."
"No!"
Once again, I tried to run away, but I came face to face with Will. He looked straight at me with a blank face.
