Hey there my Super Readers! So school started up yesterday so I wrote this chapter in a "Welcome back to school!" kind of way. But with the schedule I have, it's going to be very hard for me to update. So I just want to tell you all that I love you guys for your support and can't wait to update again. So just get reading, okay?
Emma's POV
"Woah... Moxie, you're room, it's-"
"Beautiful." She whispered in awe. "I know, I decorated it."
Moxie's room was just, wow. Everything, and I mean everything, was Batman based. Her walls were black, her king sized bed had a Batman comforter, she had Batman posters hung everywhere, she even had pictures of her and him together. It was as if he was her Zeus and she was a humble worshiper.
Moxie grabbed my files from my hand and threw them into a shadow. They immediately disappeared.
"Hey!" I hissed. "I need to study those! Will is going to kill me if I don't!"
"Calm down," she said nonchalantly. "All I did was send them to your room."
I growled as Moxie and Rosie flopped on the bed. She could've given me a heads up.
Rosie patted a spot on the bed next to them, beckoning me to sit. I sighed and walked to the bed, slumping on it.
Bad choice.
They viciously jumped on top and held me to the bed as I thrashed around, screaming for help. Was this how I was going to die? Were they going to kill me for unleashing my power?
"No, please!" I whined. "I'm sorry for beating you guys up!"
"Does she want to die?" Rosie questioned.
"If she keeps saying crap like that, then yes." Moxie stated, narrowing her eyes at me.
I blinked back my fear. Were they not going to kill me? Was I off the hook?
"Wait." I gasped. "You guys aren't going to kill me?"
"Do you want us to?" Rosie questioned.
I shook my head.
"Then no, we're not."
A sigh of relief escaped my lips. "So then, what are you guys going to do?"
Both of them smirked evilly. Oh gosh, I shouldn't have asked.
"So," Moxie started. "Do you like Will?"
I cocked my eyebrow. "I guess. I mean we're friends, I think."
Rosie slapped my forehead, resulting a hiss to spill from my lips. "We mean as in do you have a thing for my brother."
"What? No! Of course not!" I stated while my cheeks felt as if they were on fire. "Why would you guys ask that?"
Toothy grins spread across their faces. "Looks like someone's lying." Rosie said with sly tone.
"Oh yes," Moxie replyed. "Can't you see the blush on her cheeks? She so likes him."
I squirmed. "I don't like Will. Besides, he's always mean to me for no reason. All I do is call him Superman."
They released their grips and Rosie sighed while I sat up. "He doesn't like being called that."
"Why."
Moments passed and Rosie didn't answer, so Moxie responded for her.
"He hates Superman's guts. They sort of got off on the wrong foot."
"He met Superman?"
They nodded.
"He was our mentor." Rosie whispered.
