So my Super Readers, I was telling my friend about how Will kissed Emma's forehead, and I fan girled so hard that I fell out of my desk... I'm so weird... Well, you guys probably want to read this now, so go ahead ^.^
Emma's POV
"What's going on?" Will questioned as he shrugged off his jacket. "Why is everyone piled up in here?"
"Moxie said that her, Dylan, and Batman had something planned for us." Trevor informed.
We had entered the living room where everyone, and I mean everyone, was chatting away.
I scanned the area and found Rosie and Scott who were leaning against the wall. Quickly, I hurried to their sides, not wanting to be next to Will. I don't know why, but that kiss on the forehead had set me off. Sure, I was alright about it at first, but as Will was flying us up to the balcony, I became more aware of the warmth that still lingered where his lips once were. I found myself constantly touching the area, unaware of what the event would lead to. And for some reason, even though I kept telling myself nothing would happen, I wanted something to happen. I wanted to go back over to Will and ask if it meant anything. But I knew he would say no, because it was just a kiss on the forehead.
Wow, I'm becoming soft. Great.
"Everything okay?" Rosie asked.
"Uh, yeah." My eyes went to Will who was giving me a questioning look, but I as soon as I had looked at him, I averted my gaze and acted as if I hadn't noticed.
"You sure?" Rosie prodded.
"I said I'm fine, okay?"
She chuckled. "Really? Something doesn't seem fine. You're staring at my brother while sulking, so how about you tell me what it is."
"There's nothing to tell." I lied.
"Oh, I know what it is." Scott stated. "You're shoulders turned him on and made things awkward. But, it wasn't his fault. He did tell you that you were showing to much skin. So technically-"
"Shut up!" I hissed just as the lights began to flash a multicolor pattern and music started to play.
"Ladies and gentlemen!" Moxie called, emerging out of a shadow. "For years I have waited for this moment to happen, and finally, it has come! I have found a way to make Superheroes and sidekicks look fabulous! But enough about my dream! I give you, Batman and Dylan!"
Smoke erupted out of nowhere, and as soon as it vanished, The Dark Knight and Dylan appeared.
I had to stop myself from laughing.
Batman was wearing a sleeveless, poofy pink gown while striking poses while Dylan just stood there, arms crossed, wearing a teal ball gown. All the girls went crazy, taking pictures and reaching out to touch the two attractive, built men while all the boys wore horrified looks. Of course though, Moxie kept all the girls back and gave death glares to the ones who weren't enjoying the scene.
Somehow though, as he struck poses, Batman locked his gaze with mine and nodded.
What could that mean?
I averted my gaze to my feet and blocked everything out. I didn't want to think about this modeling show or the kiss. I had to focus on something else. But what?
Jonah and Kiri. They had said I was going to become an important pawn, or that I was already. And Jonah pretty much backed that up by saying Moxie's theory of Godfrey was correct. But, apparently someone was supposed to whisper to me or I'm supposed to hear a whisper from miles away. I'm not sure, they confused me with Jonah's eloquent talk and Kiri's brilliance with New York's past.
I gripped my head and slowly slid down the wall. How was I suppose to take their warning in? I'm not a freaking sponge that absorbs everything! I'm not Spongebob!
Wow Emma, comparing yourself to a fictional character? Nice, very nice.
I glanced up to watch the modeling and wasn't very surprised to see Moxie pummeling a girl. She either tried to touch one of the "models" or didn't find this very fascinating. Either way, she aggravated Moxie, and you never want to do that.
Sighing heavily, I went back to matters of my own. How was I supposed to worry about controlling my ability and Jonah's warning at the same time?
My life.
"Hey kid."
I looked up at The Dark Knight who was towering over me while striking poses.
"Hey Batman. Working the dress, I see." I said smirking while getting to my feet. Moxie was paying attention to all the other girls who were trying to touch the legendary hero, so I didn't have to worry about her punching my face in.
"I need to give you something." He stated plainly.
I crossed my arms and arched my eyebrow. "And that would be?"
He slowly extended his hand towards me which held a single red pill. It looked dangerous. I could imagine a skull on it, symboling death.
"I created this just for you. It's to help you with your certain ability, only you can take it."
I plucked it from his hand. "It looks deadly."
"Trust me, this will solve your problem. You will no longer have to study other abilities. About an hour after you have taken this, you'll be able to control your power."
I nodded at the hero and walked towards the door. Before exiting the living room, I glanced back at Will who looked as if the modeling was killing him. Smiling, I turned my back on everyone and ran down the hall towards my room, the music dying down the further I got.

.
.
Lying on the bed after I swallowed the pill was hard. I don't know why, but now I had the sudden urge to run. The urge kept nagging at the back of my head that I had to focus on Rosie's bird print of her bed just to keep it down.
The walls kept thumping from the music in the living room. They, well, everyone was obviously not finished partying. Me on the other hand, I felt like a walking corpse, and the music was not helping. In fact, it was making it worse.
I took the pillow from underneath my head and covered my ears. Can't someone get some sleep around here?
Sighing, I closed my eyes, allowing my thoughts to wonder.
Everything will blow over soon, I thought to myself. Jonah's prediction meant nothing and he's just using Moxie's theory to his advantage. As for my ability, I'll master it when the day comes.
I opened my eyes and panic surged through me. Everything was dark, black. I couldn't see.
I sat upright, clawing at my eyes. My heart beat picked up and I could feel a bead of sweat trickle down my forehead.
"I can't see." I gasped. "Someone, help."
What had Batman's pill done to me?
WOOOP WOOOP!!!! Okay, so you readers probably know how this is gonna go, but not today! I'm changing things up! So for starters, I'd really appreciate if you checked out my friends account and books. Her name is Emily but he account name is dropsofragrants !!! I think I most likely spelt that wrong, so you can find her by looking up The Lost Luna, which is very popular, The Shift, which is the sequel to that book, and my all time favorite, Our Overly Possessive Mates. She's a really close friend of mine and we'd both love it for you to check it out! And plus, if you want to know how she is, don't be a stalker, just pay attention to Rosie. That character is based off her, and other characters are based off my other friends but those shoutouts will be used for another time. So thanks again, and don't be afraid to comment, vote, and well, other things. TATA my Super Readers!!!!
PS, if you want a shout out, don't be afraid to ask. I'll check out your book and when I have read it, I'll recommend it ^.^
