The most awaited time for lovers has finally arrived. Ofcourse, we're talking about Valentine's Day. It isn't enjoyed by everyone, leaving a bittersweet taste to the majority of single people. But it wasn't always just single people. There's one particular person roaming around the cold streets of Seoul. Jeon Somi. She wasn't single. In fact, she has a boyfriend. But today gave her a new flavour, bitersweet.
See, her boyfriend is currently visiting his family in L.A. She wanted to call her significant other but she wasn't like those other girls who are obsessed. She knows its still midnight there and he's still probably in dreamland.
Kim Sejeong
Lunch date with the girls? At the usual. She smiled to herself. Well atleast she had her friends.
So she grabbed her coffee making her way back to her boyfriend and her's shared apartment.
'What to wear?' She thought. What if everybody showed up dressed casually and she's dressed formally. She'd immediately be teased.
In the end, she let herself settle with a semi-formal dress layed under a trench coat.
One last look and she smiled making her way out to see her friends.

She lived for these kinds of moments. Just being carefree and not thinking of anything. Just like the good old days when spending time with your best friends."Remember that one time that you tripped infront of Samuel?" Everyone was laughing their asses off. They were more likely cry-laughing, if that makes sense. You see, everyone knew about their push-and-pull relationship back then. People knew they liked each other. They just didn't believe the gossips and just stayed being awkward. It did come to a point where the people around them got tired and forced them together.
Somi glanced at her phone as it blinked. Notifying her that she received a message.
Sam
Happy Valentines, babe! Sorry I'm not there. I'll make it up to you, I promise. I love and miss you always. She smiled, the kind of smile she used to have back on her teenage days.
"Let me guess, Kim Samuel?" She nodded frantically as she hid her phone, fully giving her attention to her best friends.

She plopped down her bed, face hitting the soft mattress to their bed. It always didn't feel lonely whenever Samuel wasn't around. But this particular day, it made her feel a thousand times more lonely. When did she started to have feelings for him again? Oh! She and Sam became classmates on their first year of high school. He started off as a transferee coming from the US.
He showed up with his signature ragged hair that made him look more mature than he actually is.
Samuel approached her first, thinking of her as a half-breed like him.
"I'm Kim Samuel" He offered a handshake to her and she gladly accepted it. Having a friend like her would be great, he thought. "I'm Jeon Somi" She showed him her signature bunny tooth smile since a lot of people told her it looked cute, well it does.
"I'm a quarter Canadian and a quarter Dutch, you are?" She thought she'd make good friends with him, there was a connection. "I'm half Spanish" She widened her eyes, she had meet friends like Jackson but she has never met a person who came from Spain.
"So, you speak Spanish?" She thought she asked an offensive question when Sam started laughing. "Nah. I came from L.A." And since then, whenever they talked, they spoke in English garnering a whole lot of weird looks from people.
