(Fitz's POV)
"Glad to have you back Sophie. I missed you." I whispered to her. I could almost feel Keefe's glare. He coughed. "Should we tell everyone that Sophie woke up? Or should I not destroy this Sophfitz momment?" He asked. "Of course." Sophie said, running to get her imparter.
When everyone came bursting into the room, there was a ton of sobbing, hugging, and apologizing. "Its fine! I'm here now!" Sophie kept reassuring everybody. Sandor was still apologizing, Grady and Edaline were clinging to Sophie like she would disappear again, and everyone else stood on the side, sobbing. After everyone was satisfied that she was actually there, we hailed the councill to tell them the good news.
The bell rang, and I just remembered that there still was school. I face palmed, while Keefe was jumping up and down. "No school!" he whooped. Everyone giggled, and I couldn't help but join them. I forgot how nice it was to just be friends with Keefe.
When we were outside, I pulled Keefe aside. "Hey bro? I'm sorry, we shouldn't have let a girl get in the way of our friendship. You can have Sophie. Friends?" I said nervously, wondering if he would still forgive me. Keefe just stood there, surprised. Then he smirked and hugged me. "Friends." He said to me. I smiled. Keefe was my best friends ever. I wasn't about to lose him.
(Sophie's POV)
I watched as Keefe and Fitz talked. Fitz said a few words, and then keefe went in for a hug. They hugged for awhile. Sophie smiled. She loved it when her friends got along. When they were done, Keefe walked over to me. "Hey, Foster? Can I go to Havenfield with you? I'm not keen on going "home"." "Of course Keefe!" I beamed. We both stepped into the light together.
When we walked into the house, Grady eyed us suspiciously, while Edaline just smiled. I flopped on the bed, pushing Keefe off. "No dirty boys on my bed!" I teased. He just shrugged, and jumped back on. I sighed, no energy left from the day to push him off again. He smirked in triumph.
"So what did I miss while I lay broken in bed?" I asked. "Nothing much. Mostly just people worrying about you, and guilt all over the place. Silence. "You know...I forgive you Keefe." I whispered. Keefe's smirk wavered a moment, revealing the sad, scared boy underneath. "I know Foster. No one can resist the Keefester," he teased. I threw a pillow at him. "Foster! You are sooooo going to reagret that!" he picked up two pillows, and charged at me.
After some time, we got tired, and lay together in the bed. "You don't have to go home Keefe." I offered. "I guess i'll stay then. Can't refuse a offer from the Mysterious Ms. F." I could feel myself blushing. "I love the game make Foster blush!" I blushed harder. "I'm going to get the sleeping bag."
(do elves have sleeping bags?)
I walked out of the room. When I came back, Keefe was already comfortable in my bed. "Foster sleep with me!" "Keefe! That's just...no!" "awww. Come on!" "no" "Please?" "Fiiiiiiiinnnnnnnneeeeeeee." I was defeated. I got changed into my PJs in the bathroom, then plopped down next to him. "Good night Sophie." He yawned, then fell peacefully asleep. I lay there shocked. He used my first name. I finally collected myself, "Good night Keefe." I soon drifted off to sleep as well.
