I got to Foxfire just as the announcements started. At first there was nothing new. A few students who manifested their abilities, some schedule changes (for some students), and threats to someone (*cough* Keefe *cough*) who put more gulon gas in Magnet Leto's  office. But after he got done with the boring part, we were told there was dance being held at Foxfire to celebrate the downfall of the Neverseen. I internally groaned. dances meant dresses, dresses meant heels, and heels meant I was going to ungracefully hurt myself in some way.

I already saw Biana walking over to me. I pretended not to notice her by going over to my locker and licking the DNA strip, in an attempt to have her think I was busy and talk to me later. No such luck. "SOPHIE!" she called out to me, turning a few heads. "Yes Biana?" I asked even though I already knew what was coming for me. She gave me an evil smirk. "My house after school. We need to go SHOPPING! and no you are not getting out of this one Sophie!" She said grabbing my hand as I attempted to sneak away. "But Biana, I might not even go to the dance." I complained. "Well you still need to help me pick out my dress, and you need some new clothes anyways." "Fiiiiiiiiiine." I drawled out.

I don't understand how Biana gets so worked up over a dance. Ok, maybe I was a little excited. I wanted to see if anyone asked me to the dance. I waved goodbye to Biana and hurried to Linguistics so that I wouldn't be late. Lady Cadence hates late students.

I weaved through crowds of students and ran through the majestic hallways of Foxfire. I finally made it to Linguistics just on time. Maybe Lady Cadence was a little annoyed when I arrived just as class started, because she told me we would practice mimicking. I sucked at mimicking. Ok, maybe not that bad. I practiced a lot at home, but I couldn't mimic to save my life. After at least 100 attempts later, I successfully was able to perfectly mimic Lady Cadence. She seemed surprised at my fast progress. Even I was astonished.

We practiced for at least 15 more minutes, and was able to mimic Biana. By the end of the lesson I was able to successfully mimic Keefe,  Tam, Linh, and Dex. I had a bit of a difficult time getting Fitz's voice and accent right, but for some reason Biana was a lot easier. Lady Cadence was pleased with my progress and let me out early. I happily went to my next class with councillor Bronte. I had started to enjoy his classes. We bonded a little more after each class and had somehow come to a mutual understanding.

However, while I was making my way to his class, I got lost in thought and wasn't paying attention to where I was going. As I turned the corner, I bumped into...

Sorry for the cliffhanger. I hate them too. I will try to update soon. ;)
