(Sophie's POV)

I was outside in the pastures, helping Edaline and Grady bathe Verdi, our permanent dinosaur resident. No matter how much I tried to get Verdi to eat veggies, he would eat only after he was sure I wouldn't give him anything else. He could be so stubborn sometimes.

I ended up bathing Verdi all by myself. The Verminion got out, and was trying to eat the other animals. I watched as they chased it around, trying to corner it. I smiled, remebering  my first few weeks staying at Havenfield.

I was trying to get the Verminion back into it's enclosure. I chased it around, until I cornered it. The verminion didn't like the idea. I realized my mistake too late. The verminion reared to attack, but luckily, the gnomes helped me. I have hated it ever since. Grady and Edaline never asked me to help with the verminion ever again, which I was every grateful for. I also recalled finding Iggy thanks to the verminion. Poor little guy was wounded from the it, and was barely breathing. Iggy soon recovered after I took him in. Grady was hesitant of letting me keep him, but eventually gave in, thanks to Edaline's persuasive talk. In some way, I was forever grateful to the verminion, but I will never like it. Iggy was good company, and friend, the following years.

Verdi gently tugged at my hair, asking if he was done. He hated bath time. I tore my gaze away, and stared at the brightly colored dinosaur. I gave him a smell check, and continued to bathe him. "Sorry Verdi, you are still really smelly." Verdi gave me an annoyed huff. I laughed. "Look who is a drama queen." I told him. He snorted, disagreeing with me. When I was finally done, Verdi was sparkling clean. His feathers shining in the afternoon sun. Couldn't say the same for myself. I was covered head to toe in feathers that were sticking out everywhere. I was pretty soaked too. I groaned, knowing that I would have to take a long shower. Quickly drying off Verdi, I lead him to his enclosure. I stomped back to my room, dreading how long it would take to get all of the feathers out.

When I walked in, Fitz was waiting in the living room. "Look who just walked out of the storm." Fitz joked. I rolled my eyes, continuing to my room. When I was done, taking a long warm shower, and putting on a fresh set a clothes, I walked back down to properly greet Fitz. "Whats up?" I asked him, popping down on the couch opposite of him. He ran his fingers through his dark hair. I remembered when I first saw him, he did the same thing. He did it when he was nervous. It must be important, so I straitened. "Well, the council have called you to meet them for something important. You can only bring your friends. No adults. They want you to come right now. My dad was suppose to tell you, but he is busy right now."

Sighing, I told him "Thanks." Whenever the council called me to meet them, it usually wasn't good. Fitz nodded, then got up to leave. "Wait, your my friend, and my congate. You can come with me." He smiled, and sat back down. "I'm going to hail the others. You can hail Biana."
