(Sophie POV)
Wow. I just saw Keefe and Biana kissing. Keefe just asked me today to be his date to the dance. I guess he couldn't wait. I didn't know what to feel, but one emotion I was surprised by was jealousy. I should feel happy for Biana. But I wasn't.
While I was confused and a little angry, I aimlessly wandered the mansion. I somehow ran into Fitz. "Sophie?" he said nervously. "yes?" I said, still in a daze. "Well I wanted to ask ... wouldyougotothedancewithme?" He said the last part really fast, but I was able to make out dance. That snapped me back to the conscious world. "Wait, what? Run that by me again." He inhaled a sharp breathe, trying to calm his obvious nerves. "Do you want to go to the dance with me?" He said slower. I was shocked. Fitz Vacker. The most wanted boy at the school asked me to go to the dance with him. I stopped to think for a second. I did want to go with Keefe, but it didn't seem likely that he was going to ask me anymore. Fitz had been my long time crush ever since the first day I came to the elven world. I didn't want to go with anyone I didn't know, and Dex was my cousin. "I'd love to go with you Fitz." His face flushed with relief.
"I have to go now." I told him. I decided that I didn't want to stay at Everglen anymore. There were too many intense emotions it was making me feel. "I'll pick you up at your house" he yelled after me as I shouted "HAVENFEILD" at the leap master, and was whisked away by the light.
Once I was in my room. I decided to start on my homework. I had just finished when my imparter buzzed. I already knew it was Biana. "Biana I really don't feel like going shopping right now." I said before she could even begin to lecture me about not being at Everglen. I didn't have to explain myself. "Sophieeeee! You promised!" She whined.
After an hour of pleading, I gave in. "Fiiiiiiiiine, but we are only going into one shop ok?" "Ok!" Then she clicked off and I went to tell Grady and Edaline where I was going. "Be back by 9:00!" Edaline said as we glittered away.
"SOPHIE! look at this one! It's so beautiful! I'm definitely getting this one." Biana held up a gorgeous red fade dress.

"Wow. It really is pretty!" I breathed. We wandered around some more, trying to find a dress for myself. We walked around until Biana had ensured the death of my feet. Who knew elven stores were so big? After what seemed like FOREVER, Biana ran up to me and shoved an elegant icy blue dress with intricate sliver details on it, in front of me. "Try this on!" She squealed.

When I cam out, Biana breathed and just stared at her. "Is it bad?" I asked in disappointment. I was really pretty. "Is it bad? Is it bad! Sophie! You look absolutly stunning in that dress!" I flushed in embarrassment when a few boys turned their heads. "ok great. Let's just buy the dresses and go."
When Biana dropped me off at Havenfeild, We showed Edaline both of our dresses. "You girls are going to look amazing!" "Thank you Ms. Ruewen!" Biana said delightfully. "Oh, call me Edaline. You've known me for long enough." She said giving a warm smile. I then waved bye to Biana and went upstairs to flop onto my bed. I fell into dreamless sleep, but one sentence vibrating through my brain. The dance is tomorrow.The dance is tomorrow.The dance is tomorrow.
I soon woke up in the middle of the night, but not because of nightmares. Something was really bright in the room. She couldn't go back to sleep because the light was blinding. She walked around the room in panic. Sandor soon burst through the door sensing Sophie's distress. "Ms. Foster?" He said covering his eyes. That's when she realized the light was coming off of her. She was glowing. Panic flooded her head, reminders of the fire from the Neverseen. Then...everything went black.
What is happening to Sophie, and is she going to tell anyone about it? Will she find out that Keefe doesn't like Biana? Or will she go after Fitz, her long time crush? I guarantee an update soon.
