Charlie relayed information to Angelica for the mapping. Elijah and Kol were now at the east end of town and Niklaus and Freya were at the waterfront. They were conducting a methodical search looking for signs of actual witchcraft and anything that matched the symbols they had seen at the abandoned garage. The Mikaelsons were not yet used to the idea of earbuds or of the concept of radio discipline, they were quite a chatty family and Charlie was becoming slightly perturbed at the constant bantering and bickering between the siblings that he had to listen to over his communications equipment. "Amateurs," thought Charlie, and his sigh was just perceptible enough for Angelica to hear as she glanced in his direction with a sly grin on her face. "I'm glad that you are amused, Sunshine, because that smile is ten times better than that earlier face you were making," commented Charlie after he muted his end of the microphone.

Angelica laughed then went quiet as Elijah relayed an update. Charlie unmuted the microphone to acknowledge the update. "Roger that, Elijah," he replied, "moving to ...," but Charlie was unable to finish his broadcast as the wall behind him exploded into the room sending Charlie and his equipment flying forward. Angelica was thrown backwards through the inner wall by the force of the explosion and lay bloodied on the floor of the dining room. But Angelica was on her feet quickly before the smoke even cleared. Charlie was lifeless in the middle of the room his neck having been broken by the force of the blast.

Five figures entered through the opening that was made in the outer wall. They walked in a V formation and paused just inside, assessing the damage they had caused. The leader, a tall male with dark hair, stepped over the debris and over Charlie's lifeless body, and the others flanked him as they moved. "Witches," thought Angelica, "but how did they breach Freya's protection spell?" As the witches chanted Angelica felt an invisible pull on her body. They were summoning her to them, but she was able to resist, thanks to the talisman around her neck. But these witches were strong, they joined their powers together and if they were able to take down the protection spell without being detected then they would overpower the talisman in no time.

But witches are mortal creatures and mortal creatures can be killed. That weakness would be Angelica's advantage. Angelica knew that she had to divide and conquer and she was running out of time. She stripped a chunk of wood from the door frame and sent it flying at the female witch on the end of the left flank. But the witches' collective magic was strong and deflected the wooden stake. They chanted again to pin Angelica to the wall with their magic but to their surprise she was unaffected by their spell. But the Coven adjusted quickly and sent a chair flying at Angelica, colliding violently against her and sending her sliding across the floor.

The witches advanced on her and it was then that they made their first tactical mistake. Angelica had kept them distracted just long enough and they had taken their eyes off the vampire with the broken neck. As the now-resurrected Charlie grabbed one of the witches from behind and sunk his teeth into her neck, Angelica raised up, her eyes glowing green as she sent two streaks of fire from each of her hands, incinerating two of the witches. The lead vampire and his consort were perplexed as to how they had lost the advantage but that would not last for long. Angelica sped toward the leader and ripped his heart from chest while Charlie grabbed the remaining witch around the throat, sunk his teeth into her neck and drained just enough blood to make her lose consciousness. He recognized the taste of vervain in her blood but he had a tolerance for it since Angelica had insisted The Seven consume a small amount daily for years.

Charlie recognized the witch from her photograph and dropped her on the floor, it was the elusive Megan. Angelica picked up Freya's bag from the corner of the room and pulled out manacles that Freya had spelled to restrain a witch. She clamped them on Megan then signaled to Charlie that she would check the perimeter. They would need her alive for interrogation as she was their first good lead in unraveling the mystery of Davina Claire's abduction.

Angelica disappeared outside for several moments before returning. "They blew up the SUV when they breached the wall. It looks clear for now but we better move out, ten minutes?" she asked it as a question but it was really a statement. Charlie nodded and placed a gag on the witch. Even with the manacles he would not risk her still be able to cast a spell. Charlie dragged his prisoner to the detached garage where his mobile command vehicle was located. He secured his prisoner in the back and pulled the vehicle next to the safe house. Angelica emerged moments later and tossed three duffle bags to Charlie. She disappeared inside again and returned with the two final bags to be loaded into Charlie's vehicle.

Angelica went back into the house a final time and incinerated the two dead witches but not before noticing they were wearing matching pentacles, snatching them from their necks. She then used her dragon fire to set the entire safe house ablaze resulting in an inferno that quickly consumed the residence, the detached garage and the remnants of the SUV. Her fire would ensure nothing would be left behind for human investigators to find.

Angelica handed Charlie the matching pentacles then motioned to the prisoner. Charlie took her pentacle as well and put all three in his pocket. Angelica tossed Charlie her smart phone and he powered it down, initiating their preplanned protocols as they would not know whether it was magic or technology that revealed their location. Angelica jumped into the driver's seat and Charlie rode in the back with the witch prisoner. As they moved to their secondary location, Charlie flipped switches on his computers to re-establish the lost communications with the Mikaelson siblings over an encrypted channel.
