"Yes, but how did you do it, Angelica?" asked Rebekah, pushing for details as the family gathered to video chat with Angelica and Elijah as they explained that the threat has been eliminated. "Yes, my Darling," added Elijah, "I would like to know the details as well of your plan that used me as bait." Angelica grinned at Elijah, and replied, "I didn't think you would mind, my Love. After all, you were going to go after the Prophet yourself once you had me out of Salem, were you not?" Elijah grinned, he could not argue with his wife's logic. "Ahem, hello!" repeated Rebekah, "Details, please."

Angelica focused back on the video chat, the images of Rebekah, Kol, and Niklaus staring back at them, waiting. "Is Henrik Finn with you?" asked Angelica, to which his cherub face appeared next to Rebekah. "Hello, my darling boy, I wouldn't want to begin the story without the star of it being present." Henrik Finn grinned from ear to ear at that accolade.

"Well, get on with it," urged Rebekah, impatiently. Angelica told the story of how she believed there were limits to the what the Prophet could see. This was evidenced by the fact that he was unable to see the adjustments to his vision. The ability of sight leads to overconfidence and the Prophet was a definite egomaniac so Angelica led him to believe that Elijah and Angelica were simply leaving town. "Yes, but how did you do it?" pressed Rebekah. Henrik Finn gave the answer, "Mom told me what to do."

Angelica explained that she connected with Henrik Finn telepathically. Sending him a simple phrase that Henrik Finn relayed to Rafe and Albee, "Bait and switch." Rafe and Albee set events in motion as a result. The Dragonetti team was sent into Salem armed with a charm that had been spelled by Henrik Finn to allow the wearer to appear to be Angelica. Even someone with magical abilities would have a difficult time seeing through the illusion. The Prophet saw Angelica enter the SUV with Elijah and he thought nothing of her quick trip back into the house. He only saw that Angelica and Elijah would soon be in his trap. He could not see into the safe house itself due to Freya's protection spells. One of the Dragonetti vampires dressed identical to Angelica donned the charm and took her place in the SUV. Neither Elijah nor the Prophet recognized the subterfuge. He could not see beyond his original vision of Angelica and Elijah in the SUV once changes had been made by influences outside of Salem.

The charm also contained a locator chip that Charlie used to have his drones follow the SUV convoy and then the van once they were taken. Angelica, Charlie, Freya and the Dragonetti assault team followed several miles behind the convoy to stay out of sight then mustered by the mill waiting for the right moment to attack. They needed to ensure that every member of the Coven had arrived before making their move.

"But what if they had only taken Elijah?" asked Rebekah, interrupting the story. "Yes, my Love, what if?" added Elijah, playfully needling his wife. Charlie responded, "We had you covered, Elijah, between your phone and those special cuff links we knew exactly where you were." Elijah was surprised as he assumed he phone would be traced but he did not know about the cuff links. "I needed a back up since you all have a penchant for losing phones," added Charlie, nonchalantly. "Yes, yes, that explains it all, except," Rebekah paused, "Elijah, how did you know of your rescue if you did not know about Angelica's rouse?"

Elijah smiled, "Well, your stand in broke free at one point and whispered one word into my ear. She said, "Listen." I didn't know exactly what that meant but when I did, when I stopped fighting and struggling against the bond, I felt Henrik Finn in my mind. He told me simply, "Listen to Mom." And I did. I stalled the Prophet while I waited for her and soon her voice was in my head as well, and she delivered one sweet, beautiful word, "Ready," and the rest as we know it, is history."

The family chatted further until they spoke their goodbyes. Rebekah stopped them, yelling, "Wait, wait, Elijah, how were you not burned in the fire," but Elijah merely said, "Goodnight, dear Sister," and the video chat ended. Henrik Finn, Rafe and Albee were coming home soon and Angelica and Elijah were eager to return to Connecticut to be reunited with their son and put this adventure behind them.

But Freya pressed Elijah and Angelica for the answer to Rebekah's question, to which Elijah responded, "It would not do for the Progenitor of Dragons to be susceptible to dragon fire. Apparently, the Fates have determined to make me immune.  At least I think they have, they are irritatingly ambiguous in how they communicate.  But that notwithstanding, Angelica does have the ability to control the rate at which her fire burns so I had to have faith that she would extinguish me before I turned to ash. I am certainly elated that it was not as painful a solution as it could have been.." Angelica kissed Elijah on the lips and whispered to him, "I promise, my Love, I will make it up to you." He smiled as he returned her kiss, "I will hold you to that promise, my Darling."
