"What? Again? How? Are you certain?" asked Charlie in an unusually animated manner, clearly perplexed by this latest turn of events as he paced the floor of the living room. His mind spinning at how to adjust to this newest security issue. Freya advised it would be impossible without some sort of ritual but there had been no ritual, stating, "Forgive such a personal question but they said you desired it, that desire was consent." Elijah replied, "It has really never been discussed. Henrik Finn was a miracle and we have cherished him knowing he would be our only child. There would be no point to us having such a conversation." But Angelica shook her head as she searched back through her memories. She turned to Elijah, "We have discussed it, my Love. Four hundred years ago. You expressed that you did not want to saddle me with a husband who could not give me children, do you remember? You wanted me to have children. You regretted that you could not give me children." Elijah smiled at the memory of their discussions of marriage. She had told him then that perhaps it was not their destiny to be parents.

"So they went back four hundred years for consent?" asked Freya. Angelica nodded and explained about the Elementum and their view of time, adding "They have been watching us our entire lives. They may even know the desire that resides in our own hearts." Elijah took her hand and kissed her forehead, then turned to Charlie and Freya, "Regardless of how it has happened, it has happened, and we need to change our plan. It is not safe here for Angelica and our ... baby. We need to leave Salem immediately. Freya, are you able to determine at all yet where the Prophet might be?" Freya shook her head as her efforts to find him and the Key have proven fruitless so far. Elijah commented, "Perhaps that is for the best as it gives a safe window for extrication. We know the portal is safe and even though the Prophet has the Key there is no way for him to use it."

"You know where the portal is located?" asked Charlie. Elijah nodded but did not reveal the location, adding, "The fewer who know the better." Charlie concurred and excused himself from the room to start work on the revised plan.

Freya paced the living room, "I don't like this, Brother, how can you trust that you heard the truth from the Elementum?" Elijah said he could not really explain it only that he felt it to be true, the same as he felt that Angelica was pregnant. Elijah repeated that they needed to leave Salem as soon as possible.

Angelica had been strangely quiet as Freya and Elijah spoke. She seemed to no longer be listening to their exchange. She was in such deep thought that Elijah noticed and became concerned as to whether she had dropped into another trance. He repeated her name several times before she finally blinked then looked at him, saying, "You are right, Elijah, you are right. It is time for us to leave this place."
