That little hangout me and Dan had was just frustrating with Veronica twenty feet away from us. Which didn't exactly make sense because she wasn't even talking to us. But I did have this weird feeling that she was going to screw everything up. I don't know what or when, but something was going to happen.
After we had finished our coffees we began to walk to the park which was about a five minute walk. The skies looked like they were about to open up once again and dump buckets of water on us.
"Hey Miranda?" Dan asked as light thunder sounded. I looked at him and we stopped walking.
"Yes Dan?" I asked looking down to my feet, breaking the stare.
"I lost my number, can I have yours?" Dan asked whilst laughing. I smiled at him and looked at the tree that was blowing in the wind next to us.
"Of course you can." Then I smirked. He laughed at my reaction and we began walking again. Everyonce in a while he bumped into me playfully.
"Stop it." I told him gently. Dan laughed and ran into me one more time and I looked at him angrily. "Oh it's on." I said before shoving him so he stepped off the sidewalk.
"Are you ticklish?" Dan asked. Without thinking I answered quickly.
"Yes why- no Dan!" I yelled before he began to tickle me. He tackled me to the soft grass and I stopped laughing.
Soon enough we were staring at the dark sky, admiring the clouds. The clouds opened and rain came pouring down. I screamed and jumped up along with Dan. Dan took off the sweatshirt to reveal his red 'Cold Beer, Hot Women' shirt. I laughed at the sight of his shirt as Dan brought the sweatshirt over our heads.
"Run!" Dan screamed. We began to run as fast as we could to a destination I wasn't sure of.
"Where are we going?" I yelled over the thunder.
"You want to come to my flat?" Dan asked. I tried not to freak out and thankfully didn't.
"Sure lets go!" I answered. Everything was perfect.
(Veronica's POV)
*Back at Starbucks making Miranda's drink*
"Hey Carrie could you pass me the trash? I messed up this drink." I said sternly. Carrie passed me the trash can and I pretended to throw away the drink. Of course I didn't mess up the drink, I need to make Miranda sick so Dan would get grossed out by her and not talk to her. Just becuase I knew Dan faniced her. I could see the look in his eyes, just the look when he fell in love with me. I need that look again and I will get it.
I grabbed the vanilla bean sauce refill from the trash and squirted the rest of the putrid liquid into Miranda's drink.
"One vanilla mocha for Miranda!" I called across the store. She jogged up to the front and grabbed her poisoned drink. I smirked as she took her first sip.
