I stare down at my white converse getting a lecture once again by Mr. Davids. I look around at his office posters lining the walls one reads ''Believe in yourself!" another one reads "It's ok to not know but it's not ok to not try.
"Are you listening to me?" Mr. Davids asks. I met his gaze and look down at my shoes. He takes off his glasses and rubs his eyes.
"You know I'm trying my best to understand both points of view here, right?" I nod my head. "Well, the thing is Mrs. Andrews says I should give you a whole weeks suspension but..." his voice trails off. "I'm only giving you two days, you got that? I'm giving you two days to think of what you've done and come back refreshed. You understand that I can't keep using your moms death as an excuse."
I just stare at him, a dead expression plastered on my face. "I understand." I say.
"Good, I've already told your father what has happened and he's to busy to get you so he got your aunt Rose. Supposedly she's in town."
A grin pierces my lips, the first good news of the whole day. "She'll be here shortly, so pack up your bags and try to control yourself. You're a smart girl Amethyst you just need to understand to control your actions."
I look up at him "Thank you Mr. Davids."
No problem Amethyst."
