Chapter 29- No Hope

    The persons grip tightens, I kick, squirm, and try to scream; nothing helps. My mind goes fuzzy, but I continue to fight. Who ever this is is going to pay.
     Finally, Mitch talks, "Jeez Jem you've been very quiet." He looks back. Horror, fear and sadness all in one expression draw in his eyes.
     "How could you!" He screams.
      I don't know what he's talking about but I know it must be bad.
     Tears sprinkle his Caramel eyes. Now he really looks like he'd seen a ghost.
     The person behind me lets go of me and pushes me to the floor; I gasp for air. I look back. My face whitens, it's Mitch's father. The same one who was supposed to be with Mrs. Brady.
     "Come there sonny boy I have some people here to see you." He snarls.
     "We won't let you get away with this."
     But it's to late, my eyes widen as Mitch's father holds us by the waist, hoisting us up. His feet thumping on the old cobble stone floors, and before long we met the Birds in a secret room.
     The room was old and rickety. The roofing looking like it could crack at any moment. Moss drips from the ceiling, and dead centre is the Birds.
      "Hello children." She says with a sneer grin. "Tie 'em up!" She orders.
      This is the first time I get to see Mr. Bird in real life. He has the same glow as his wife, with matching and brown eyes. His head is completely bald: like in the photos back in the C.I.A's headquarters.
      We're tied around two chairs with a rope. Mitch's backpack is now on the other side of the room and we have no hope of getting out...
