"This way," Mitch whispers to me. "Keep up!" He hisses.
I follow him into a ditch on the outside of a public park. A concrete tunnel extended with piles of rocks on the ditches floor.
"Are you sure about this? It looks like it could collapse at any moment!" I say concerned.
"Take this.'' He says completely ignoring my question.
I turn on my flashlight and stare at him completely shocked, "A gun!"
"Shhh, they'll hear you!"
"A gun," I repeat, "I'll never use this!"
"You're a C.I.A agent you're gonna use it for a bluff or self defence. I just don't want you to get hurt!"
My heart melts, I've only known this guy 3 days but it feels like 3 years.
"Okay." I whisper.
"Okay then let's get going!"
We hobble our way down the tunnel with the light of our flashlights leading the way.
"What are we looking for exactly?" I ask him.
"We'll know when we see it." At that moment a car alarm beeps wildly.
"Shhh," he says pulling me close. "Let's take a closer look.
Mitch and I get on or hands and knees crawling toward a hole in the ground. Moss blankets the tunnels floor. I reach for his hand and when I do he smiles bleakly at me.
"Does anyone know we're here?" A mans voice calls from below.
"No and the C.I.A. Doesn't know anything about us." A girl hisses.
That's odd that voice sounds awfully familiar to me, then it hits me it was Mrs. Bird!
