We'd all stayed silent that entire lunch hour.

I wanted to speak up. I wanted to ask them why the hell they would all scare away Cass like that. I liked Cass. He had been the only one atthis school so far to show me some genuine kindness. Claire was okay. She'd shown me kindness, but we haven't really become super best friends yet. Verna was nice but I've barely talked to her. Daniel was rude.even more so than Aaron. Well at least Daniel cared enough to be rude. Aarom didn't even seem to care about me enough to be rude on a daily basis. He just ignores me. Thorne and I have rarely talked. He seems kind of cocky.

Cass was the only person i'd gotten along with. But I decide not to bring it up. I was too in shock and quite frankly didn't want Daniel to snap at me again.

So I went about my day as normal. I finally saw him again during Alchemy Class.

I was mixing some pretty nasty ingrdients together at my Alchemy table when I felt someone tap me on my shoulder. After throwing a spider's fang into the mix ewh, I turned around to see Cass smiling down at me. I blushed and grinned pushing my hair behind my ear.

"Uh... what are you doing here?" I asked him, leaning up against the edge of my table,

He shrugged and raised a brow at me.

"You didn't know I had this class?" he asked me.

I thought about it for a second. Never had I noticed him in this class. Cass doesn't really strike me as the type to blend In so why didn't I notice him? Maybe he skipped Class yesterday. I rolled my eyes.

"No I haven't seen you" I answered.

"I'm not surprised. A goody-two shoes like you is proberly too busy focusing on your work," then he leaned over my shoulder to take apeak at what I was mixing together. "Whatch making?"

I pushed him away with a giggle.

"I amnota goody two shoes! And I don't really know. I know nothing about Alchemy. This wasn't even one of the classes I chose." I answered him.

He scoffed at me.

"You? Not a goody two shoes? You sure as hell act like one.well ypu do hang out with me. maybe you aren't so good." He teased nudging me.

I sighed, a grin still on my face. Then I turned back to my tableand picked up my pestle and mortar.ick.the ingrediants were sickening. Spider's fang, mushroom, mold. I had no idea why the teacher Shay had given us all of these odd ingrediants. I'd have to look up different ingrediants used for Alchemy once I got back to my dorm today.

"See your focusing too much," Cass took hold of my shoulders and turned me to face him. I tried to act annoyed, but I couldn't help but blush. "Focus on having a little more fun."

"I am having fun. Spider fangs and mushrooms. Whoo! Fun" I answered sarcastically.

Cass had been the only person so far that I've been able to act like myself around. I always feel like I need to hide from Aaron and I'm afraid to get to know anyone else. But Cass has this vibe about him that pulls me in. I don't really know what it is. Maybe its how laid back he is, or maybe its his sense of humor. I'm not sure something about him is just really intriguing.

"Alright, class dismissed!" Shay shouted clapping his hands. He has to let us know when Class is over because there's no bell in the Sanctum.

When I first arrived at the Sanctum today. I was amazed and I still am.it looks like a curch wthout pews. The floors are golden and they have what looks like biblical carvings etched into the material. The ceiling is one big skylight. There are stain glass windows with angels and birds and crosses all over them going all the way around the Sanctum. There are Alchamy tables on the golden floor at least ten of them following the round walls. Leading up into the main part of the Sanctum is a red carpet that covers half of the Sanctum. The doors are wooden and large with golden handles.

I sighed. "I have a tutoring session today for Fencing class."I informed Cass plopping down against the wall. "Aaron is my tutor.you should leave before he gets here if he were to see you all hell would break loose though I'm not sure why."

Cass shrugged. "The guys too confident. He thinks he can walk around this school and pick and choose who he likes and who e doesn't like" Cass sxowled still standing before me.

I snorted. "Yeah no kidding. He hates me for no reason," then I met his eyes."But really you should go."

He sighed in fake dismay and bowed his head."Again I get kicked out of somewhere." As he walked backwards towards the doors.i giggled."See ya later Princess."

I waited until he exited the Sanctum to blush and smile. He gave me a nickname. A very inaccurate ickname, but istill love it nonetheless.i was no longer dreading my tutoring session. Cass made me feel ten times better.
