Chester's POV
While I was up late one night on my computer, I saw that I got a notification on Twitter. I just assumed that it was Ryan or Amir tagging me in something stupid that one of them thought was funny.

I clicked on the notification and saw that someone just followed me. When I looked even closer I saw that it was Mike who followed me.

I gasped loudly and nearly fell out of my bed. My heart started beating fast and I was shaking with excitement.

The Mike Shinoda followed me.

I didn't know what to do. I wanted to tell the entire world that Mike followed me, but my circle was pretty small so I decided to call Ryan. After a few rings he picked up.

"RYAN GUESS WHAT?!" I yelled over the phone. I heard him groan. "It's two in the morning Chester. What the fuck is wrong with you?" He asked. "Mike just followed me on Twitter!"

"Well good for you, Chester. Now can you let me sleep?" "Ugh you're so boring." I said. "Not even happy that the love of my life followed me." "The love of your life is currently engaged to a girl that he's been dating for like five years so..." He said. I frowned and plopped back on my bed.

"You ruin everything." I mumbled. "Just telling the truth Ches." He said with a yawn. I sighed. "I guess I'll let you go so you can get your stupid beauty rest." "Thanks." He hung up and so did I.

I ran out of my room down to the living room to fangirl about Mike to my dad. He seemed to be the only person who didn't mind hearing me talk for hours about Mike. I mean my mom listened, but I could tell that she got bored after a while.

My dad was sitting on the couch watching some game that he had recorded earlier that day.

"Dad guess what?!" I yelled as I jumped onto the couch beside him. He jumped when I yelled. "Shh Chester. Your brothers, sister and mom are alseep." He said with a little laugh. "I'm sorry, but guess what." "I'm guessing it's about Mike?" He asked. I nodded my head. "Yeah. He just followed me on Twitter!" I said. He smiled. "Aw that's awesome Chester! I'm happy for you." He said patting me on the back.

"God I'm so happy Dad." I said. I moved over and leaned my head against his shoulder. "You really love this guy don't you?" He said. I nodded. "Yeah. I know it's stupid to like this guy so much because he's famous and probably doesn't really care about me, but I can't help it. He's so attractive, and sweet and has the most amazing voice and he's so talented. Fuck he's just the total package." I said. "You'll find someone like him later on, Ches." "I don't want anyone else dad. I want Mike." He sighed a little. "He's getting married to a girl." I sighed again. "I know." I said quietly. "I guess I'm gonna go to bed." I said. He nodded and patted my back. I gave him a hug and went upstairs.

I sat back on the bed and stared at the notification for a while. I was so happy. He was only following a couple hundred, so the fact that I was one of those made me even more happy.

Eventually I shut my computer and put it on my desk. I turned off the lamp in my room and started getting ready for bed.

My nightly routine had turned into this: I'd eat dinner, go take a shower, then I'd stay up until two or three in the morning stalking Mike's social media and looking at cute pictures of him, then I'd put on Mike's jacket and snuggle with it until I fell asleep.

My crush on him seemed to be increasing everyday. I just wanted him to be mine and I knew it would never happen. I'd probably just keep making weird scenarios with Mike up in my head for the rest of my life.

That next morning, I woke to my phone ringing. I sighed and picked it up to see who it was from. It was Ryan.

"Hey?" I said when I picked it up. "Guess what?" He said. "What?" "Your lover is coming back to Arizona at the end of the year." "Huh?" I said not really believing him. He had just came to Arizona a few months before. It seemed a little soon to be already having another tour even if it was at the end of the year. Also it was strange how when Ryan said "Your lover" I instantly knew who he was talking about.

"Yeah. He released tour dates a few minutes ago. He's coming back here December 15th." Ryan said. "We have to go." I said. "Well that would be nice, but he's playing at the big arena this time. He's not playing the little, intimate club again. There will probably be like 15 to 20 thousand people there instead of a couple thousand. Tickets are probably gonna be three times the price. Neither of us have that kind of money Chester." I sighed loudly.

"Maybe... maybe I could get a job and save up. I need to see him again." I said. Ryan chuckled. "Chester. Are you sure you're gonna be able to get and keep a job? I mean... in school you literally just sit there and scribble Mike's lyrics and his name in hearts on your notebooks. You have zero work ethic." "Shut up Ryan. I know I'm not the hardest working person, but you don't understand how badly I want to see him again. I'm sure I can land a good job and stick with it." I said. I could almost hear him roll his eyes.

"Alright then good luck with that. I'll see you at school in a few." He said. "Okay. Bye Ryan." "Bye Chester."

I got out of bed, got ready, ate breakfast and then went to school. School went like it always did. It was slow and sucked of course. After school, I set out to find a job.
