Chapter 63

Just wanted to remind everyone about Mike and Chester having the same wedding ring for several years :')

WEDDING DAY

Chester's POV
"Oh God I'm so nervous. What if he changed his mind or something and ditches me?" I asked as my mom tied my tie for me. "Do you really think he'd do something like that?" My mom asked. "Well... no, but... the last time he was engaged... I mean we all know what happened." I said. "Mike is one of the sweetest boys I've ever met, and I know he loves you with all his heart. Today will be perfect and one of, if not the best days ever. Stop worrying about it." She said. I took a deep breath and nodded.

"Do I look good? Do you think Mike will tear up when he sees me like guys do in movies when they see their bride?" I asked. She laughed. "I bet he will, Ches." She said as she reached up and ruffled my hair that I had cut pretty short. The curls were barely noticeable which she hated, but I liked it more the shorter I cut it.

"Wow, I'm gonna be a married man in a few hours. This is so crazy." I said as I looked in the mirror. She walked up beside me and smiled at me in the mirror. "Seems like just yesterday we were driving home from the hospital with you after you were born, and now you're getting married. Next will be a bunch of grandbabies, right?" She said. I laughed and shrugged. "Maybe. We've talked about it, but I don't know when any of that will happen." I said. She nodded. She turned me toward her after that.

"I love you, Ches, and I'm so proud of the man you've become." She said. I smiled and looked down. She pulled me in for a long hug and then pulled away with little happy tears in her eyes. "Aw mom. Don't cry. You're gonna make me cry." I said as I took off my glasses and chuckled as I wiped my eyes that were starting to tear up. She chuckled and wiped her own eyes.

"I'm going to go get ready. Okay? Then we'll all make our way to the beach." She said. I nodded and smiled.

Mike's POV
"Mom, it's fine." I said as I pushed my mom's hand away from my hair. She kept trying to put back a stray hair of mine, but it wouldn't budge. "I just want you to look good for your big day." She said with a little laugh. "Do I not already look good?" I asked. She laughed again. "Of course you do hon." I just laughed.

"I'm so fucking excited mom. I'm about to get married to the love of my life. I am so happy." I said as I put on my blazer. "I'm happy for you, Mike." She said. I smiled. She left to go get ready and my friends came into the room.

"I remember like three years ago we were in this same spot." Brad said as he came up behind me and looked at us in the mirror. I nodded. "Yeah, but this time will not be like last time. I'm so excited and not afraid this time. I'm not dreading seeing my fiance this time. Today will be perfect, Brad." I said. He smiled and nodded. "I'm happy for you, man." He said.

Once we were all ready, we went down to Venice. We had a spot set up with chairs for people to sit at a little ways from the water so no one would get soaked. Most people had already arrived. I said hi to all of them and took my spot by the preacher who was going to marry us. Jason stood beside me because I had picked him to be my best man. Chester had picked Ryan as his. Eventually everyone was there except for Chester.

Then finally, when I was starting to get slightly worried, I saw him. I saw my beautiful soon to be husband walking toward me. I started tearing up a little bit. It was all about to happen and I was almost bouncing with excitement. He had that cute smile and a cute, shy blush on. He kept putting his head down because of all the attention that was on him as he walked up to me.

Once he got up there, it took everything I had in me not to tackle him with a big hug and kiss. I just took his hands in mine and tried to calm down.
