I felt something soft touch my cheek. I slowly opened my eyes. Two large green eyes were staring back at me. I sat up, the blue fuzz ball tumbled down my stomach and into my lap. It turned at looked at me.
"A cat?" I said, then reached out and stroked his head. He curled up in my lap. I smiled, then picked him up and let my blanket fall to the ground as I walked out of my room. It was quite like it always was. I heard the faint noise of the TV from downstairs. I shifted the cat in my arms and quietly went downstairs. I peeked into the living room. Natsu was sitting on the couch, watching TV. I turned and was going to go back upstairs, but the damn cat started meowing. I looked at him startled.
"Happy is that you?" Natsu asked I heard him get up and walk over here. I quickly prayed to the gods as he turned the corner and looked at me. "and it looks like you made a friend." He said to the cat. I put him down, he jogged to Natsu and circled his legs.
"Cute cat," I said.
"Thanks, his names Happy by the way." He said, "And I hope you didn't mind me bringing him here."
"Not at all." I said, "And uh, why is he blue?" I asked Natsu shrugged.
"Found him like that." He said I looked at the ceiling then back at Natsu with a smile.
"Alright, well I was just going to go. So well I'm gone don't wreck the house." I said, then jogged back up to my room.
"Where are you going?" He asked I looked at him.
"It's Saturday. What do I always do on Saturday?" I asked, then went into my room and closed the door. I threw on my black shorts and a green off the shoulder shirt. I grabbed my phone and black shoes and went to the bathroom, where I brushed my hair and teeth. I put my hair in a tall ponytail. Then slipped my shoes on and went back downstairs. When I went to the kitchen. Happy was on the counter. "Hey hey," I said and put him on the floor. "Counters are off limits."
"He won't listen," Natsu said, I turned and looked at him. He was all dressed.
"Where are you going?" I asked,
"With you." He said firmly and walked past me to get his shoes.
"I never said you could go with me," I said, and grabbed my art bag. he turned and looked at me.
"You can't ignore me Y/N." He said.
"I never said I was," I said, then pushed past him, he grabbed my arm and forced me to look at him.
"I'm not done talking about yesterday." He said I ripped my arm away from him.
"Well, I am," I said firmly, then left. He followed me soon afterward but didn't walk beside me. He walks behind me where we didn't have to make small talk.

When we came to the park I always come to. He sat right next to me on the bench. I gripped my pencil. He wouldn't stop staring at me. "Stop staring at me," I said.
"Why?" He asked. I looked at him.
"Because it's annoying," I said. He crossed his arms and leaned back on the bench.
"I can see it's inspiration." He said, then pointed to my sketchbook. I looked down at it. I hadn't realized before, but I had drawn his face. I sighed and closed my sketchbook.
"Can you leave me alone? For a day?" I asked, "I don't want to deal with you right now."
"No, you don't want to deal with my feelings right now." He said, "Why can't you respect how I feel?" He asked.
"Why can't you respect my feelings towards you?" I asked,
"Because what you told me wasn't feelings from your heart. What you told me was fear. Look me in the eyes and tell me you don't like me more than a friend. Tell me it was all a tease." He said, daring me. I wanted to. But I couldn't. I held my tongue. "That's what I thought." He stood up. "I'll see you back at the house." He added, then walked away. I watched him go. Why couldn't I say some simple words? I let out a breath and packed my things up. I went and talked around town. I felt lost. I had no idea what to do in a situation like this. I sighed.

After I went home, I dropped my things in the entryway and took my shoes off. Happy came running down the stairs, "It's just me." I said to him, but he still circled around my legs as I walked to the living room.
"A huge storm they said," Natsu said from the top of the stairs. I turned around.
"I think I've been through worst," I said, then picked Happy up and sat down on the couch. I stroked his head slowly. I heard Natsu walk down the stairs.
"You've taken an awfully liking to my cat." He said.
"He's blue." I started. "I'm curious."
"For as much as you don't want to talk about it, we need to talk about last night." He said. I sucked in a breath.
"I said everything I needed to say yesterday." I said, "Just accept it."
"Y/N," He started. "You can't hide your feelings towards nothing, that's just going to make you miserable." He said. I turned and looked at him.
"I think I'm doing an awfully good job hiding my feelings about Juvia because I haven't punched her yet," I said, then turned back to Happy.
"But that's another person." He came over and sat down on the couch.
"Seriously Natsu, please just give it up," I begged. "I don't want to talk about this anymore." Then a crack of thunder shook the house, causing Happy to jump out of my arms and onto the floor.
"You may hide your feelings for me, but I'm not hiding mine for you." He said, then walked down the hallway. I heard a door close. Then it was only me, Happy and the sound of rain against every window. I sat there not knowing what to do. I feel like I'm being a huge asshole. But again, this is definitely for the better.  If it wasn't awkward between us before, it is now. Happy jumped on the couch and curled up next to me.
"It's for the better," I told him. "If I want to continue being friends with him, then we have to push through."
