What I said to Juvia struck me once I got home. I actually didn't know why she was doing this, I was just kinda talking out of my ass. When we were eating lunch, which Natsu made. I was pondering it. Natsu realized I wasn't listening halfway through his story, and it was an interesting story, I just couldn't think properly.
"Ok, so you were out it during lunch and now you can't even watch TV without biting the insides of your cheek. What's the matter?" He asked I shrugged, "Don't shrug at me because I know you know." He said, I sighed and looked at him, We were sitting on the couch, I was sitting on the edge with my feet on the seat and Natsu was sitting just a ways away.
"I feel like what I said to Juvia in the store was wrong." I said, "I mean, obviously she was trying to hurt me again, but it felt wrong saying those things to her."
"Do you always feel this way after setting someone straight?" He asked I shot him a 'shut up or I'll hurt you' look.
"I don't even know what she's trying to do." I said, "I don't even know why she turned on me like that, and now she's going after you? What am I supposed to do when she has you?" I asked, he moved and moved my feet out of the way so he could sit next to me.
"She'll never have me. I would never go for someone so low." He said, "Like Gray and Lucy said. People like us are tough to get rid of, and you ain't getting rid of me so easily." He teased, I looked at him again, I didn't know what to say, I didn't want to offend him. We kinda just sat there and looked into each other's eyes.
"Thank you." I finally said, he smiled then hugged me.
"You have nothing to worry about." He whispered, I closed my eyes and allowed myself to be sucked into his arms.
After talking with him for a while more, we decided to go to bed because it was a school night. I crawled into my bed and just laid there. I raised my hand to the ceiling and looked at it. Then brought it to my chest. I need to believe that Natsu and I's relationship will be ok. This was what I was afraid of. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep away the pain in my heart.
