After a while out in the rain, I got cold, so Natsu and I went back inside. He grabbed Happy and set him on the carpet.
"Don't move." He said, then looked at me. "Towels?" He asked, I nodded and took my shoes off, I ran down the hallway and grabbed three towels. I went back and handed one to Natsu, I wrapped one around myself then one around Happy. I picked him up in the towel.
"Does he hate baths like every other cat does?" I asked he looked at me like I was stupid.
"Was he not just playing in the rain?" He asked,
"Ok, ok," I said, then brought him to the bathroom. I set him on the ground, then turned the bath on. He jumped out of the towel and into the bathtub. "Hey Happy!" I said, he looked at me and meowed. I smiled back at him. "Please don't run around," I begged as I finished filling the bathtub. I went to the closet and grabbed the shampoo. For some reason we have animal shampoo, don't know where it came from or why we have it. But, whatever. It's useful now. I heard Natsu come up the stairs.
"Hey, Y/N. There's someone at the door." He said, I turned and looked at him with a confused look.
"Who would come at this hour?" I asked. he shrugged. "You didn't open it did you?" He shook his head. "Come in here." He did, "my father always told me never to open the door when you aren't expecting someone because they might be a murder or something." he chuckled.
"How old are you?" He asked I looked up at him.
"Help me, you're supposed to be cleaning him, not me." he made a noise then kneeled down next to me. Happy put his paws on the edge of the tub and licked Natsu's face.
"Aw, dude." Natsu said, and wiped the mud from his cheek." I giggled. He looked at me. "What's so funny? You want me to toss this cat at you?" He asked we both looked at Happy. who meowed at us. I looked back at Natsu and stuck my tongue out.
"No, you won't," I said, Natsu grinned then reached for Happy. He thought I was going to stop him, but I knew he was bluffing. He grabbed him and tossed him at me. I screamed when he landed on me. "Natsu!" I said as Happy ran up my arm and around the bathroom. Natsu laughed. I wiped the mud off my cheek and looked at him. Happy jumped on Natsu's face. I laughed as Natsu fell backward onto the ground.
"Happy!" He cried as he took him off. Happy looked at us both, meowed, then jumped back into the tub. We both looked at the cat, then at each other. I started laughing again.
"There are paw prints all over your face," I said, Natsu stood up and looked in the mirror. He frowned then looked at Happy.
"Come on man." He said. He meowed twice. "don't meow at me." He said, then kneeled back down. I grabbed the shower head and started rinsing Happy off.
"Looks like Happy is a little guard cat," I said, Natsu looked at me.
"Not to me I guess." He said I chuckled.
"To whomever, he wants to protect," I said, then looked at Happy. We cleaned him in silence for a few minutes. It wasn't that silence was you didn't want to talk. It was thinking silence, where you're thinking about what to say next. Natsu shifted, I knew he wanted to talk, but he isn't saying anything, which makes me a little worried. I continued to clean Happy like nothing was wrong, but I was a bit uncomfortable.
After we were done, Happy jumped out of the bathtub and shook himself off.
"Is he a dog trapped inside a cats body?" I asked Natsu shrugged. I grabbed a clean towel and dried Happy off. "Alright Happy, now, no going on any furniture other than Natsu's bed got it?" I asked,
"Hey!" Natsu said I giggled. Happy meowed and trotted off. I stood up and drained the water. I wiped my hands off, then put the towel in the hamper in the closet. We went back downstairs and into the living room. I sighed and sat down. Natsu sat down next to me and looked at the TV. I grabbed my blanket and wrapped myself with it.
"Now I'm really cold," I said, he looked at me. He quickly looked around, then grabbed the blanket off the ground and tossed it at me. As I tried to unwrapped myself from the tangle of blankets, Natsu had scooted next to me. I pulled the blanket off my face and looked at Natsu. "You couldn't of just handed it to me?" I asked he shrugged. I sighed, then covered both me and Natsu with the blanket, then I leaned against his shoulder and closed my eyes. I felt him slowly put his arm around me.
"You know Y/N, these mix signals are really confusing me." He said,
"I talked to my dad earlier," I started, "Told me to give things a chance," I opened my eyes and looked at Natsu. "I'm sorry about yesterday. I was extremely embarrassed and scared." I laughed slightly, "So, if you don't mind, I think I would like to try and make this work." I said, he looked at me surprised and shocked. Then grabbed something and handed it to me. It was the flower.
"I don't mind at all." He said. I took the flower and smiled.

Ok, so when there's love there's jealousy, and I don't want Lisanna jealous, because I'm trying to be different from other fanfics. And it can't be Lucy either because obviously she's with Gray (😏). Sooooo??? Who should be jealous??
