The counter ladies words echoed in my ears.
"That's how they always start."
What did she mean by that? She doesn't actually think me and Natsu would ever be a couple? It was all confusing and dumb. I shook my head as I stumbled my way to the rink. Natsu caught me before I fell face first into the railing.
"Whoa, calm down there." He teased, "Didn't know you were this excited about skating."
"Oh shush it," I said and grabbed the railing, to steady myself. "I've never gone skating in my life till now, and as you can see my balancing stills aren't any good either."
"I can see that." He laughed, then grabbed my hands and pulled me into the rink.
"No!" I wheezed, but I didn't fall. Natsu had a strong grip on me.
"Stop being so tensed." He said, "relax your body."
"Kinda hard to when I'm scared of falling," I replied.
"Then let's distract you." He said, then thought for a second. "How about we talk about your friends. Or school?"
"Oh well, Juvia and Lucy are the same. The boys aren't to bad." I giggled. "school is alright I guess. Not the best but not bad either."
"I've never been to a school so I wouldn't know what its like." He said then smiled. "Top school in the entire town of Magnolia. And you get to go to it. How exciting!"
"Well let's say they don't call it the top school for nothing," I answered.
"Hey distraction did work," he said, I looked at him, he had let go of me and we were both skating around the rink.
"Yeah, I guess so," I said with a smile.
After we skated we went and walked downtown. It was a beautiful night.
"Hey Y/N, we're best friends right?" he asked, I looked at him and thought a second.
"Yeah, we're best friends. Why do you ask?" I said,
"I don't know, maybe we can get charms for each other," he said, I chuckled slightly, then realized he was serious.
"Well I mean of course we can. I wouldn't mind at all." I said, he smiled and ran ahead of me.
"I say a place on the drive to the rink." He said I ran after him.
We bought matching braclets that said best and friend on them. I get the friend one and Natsu got the best one. "Now it's official." He said I smiled at him.
"Yeah, I guess so."
