Episode 4

As Zibu was heading towards the hostel's gate, she met Dai'ba on the way,. Dai'ba was perplexed by her beauty and she had to ask where she was headed to but just before Zibu could respond Dai'ba cuts her off

'hmmmm, this make up has to be for a guy, make sure you don't scare him away this time'

Zibu responded with a smile or was it a blush. She and Nino had decided to meet in the garden(love garden) in front of Zibu's hostel. Nino had sighted her some few meters away but he was confused as to if who he was actually looking at was Zibu or not. I mean, he knew her shape like the back of his palms, Nino can also be very observant, but something was just extra on Zibu today. As she came closer his eyes kept opening until she was right in front of him but he was too lost in thought.

'Nino! Nino!!' she taps his shoulder

Nino snaps back, he tries to re-adjust himself like nothing had happened

'are you okay?' she asked him 'it has to be my make-up, i look so beautiful' she thought to herself

Her heart was pounding very fast, this was the first time she was meeting him in this type of scenario and she wants to make this really count which made her very nervous. She hated what he was doing to her, the effect he had on her. She hated the fact that she couldn't control it and also the fact that the feeling wasn't mutual.

Nino stood there in shock, he never knew Zibu was this beautiful. She was a natural beauty but this makeup added more details 'Zainabu, you are looking extra beautiful this evening, are you even a student of this school?'

'Thank you, but you saw me this afternoon and you didn't ask that' she responded with a gentle tone.

'I mean, look at you, nice skin, beautiful eyes, i know this may come out weird or something but i have to say it, You are very beautiful'

Zibu couldn't hold her excitement anymore, she had to sit down before her kneels failed her. Her heart was pounding out of control. She was really blushing and very happy that the night was going out smoothly, she was talking less and blushing more, Nino wouldn't just stop raining praises at her. She almost started thinking she was dreaming, she would pinch herself just to remind herself that this wasn't a dream. After talking for a while Zibu suggested they take a walk, they walked around some part of the school. While they were walking, Nino asked her about what happened earlier in the afternoon and why she acted the way she did. Zibu flimsily answered the question. Nino didn't want to push the question too much so that she didn't get her guards up again but he knew something wasn't right. Either she had feelings for him or something about Asma'u pisses her off. They arrived in front of her hostel and Nino asked the big question.

'Do you love me?' Nino asked with a rather straight face, like it wasn't just now they were both cracking jokes and laughing together.

Zibu was caught unawares, her big beautiful black eyes popped open more and her heart skipped a beat, she felt a sharp pain in her head, and without hesitation she replied him

"No" with all seriousness like she really meant it

Just immediately after her mouth betrayed her, her mind started fighting with her body, she was sweating and was very nervous.

'Na shiga uku' she thought to herself

Her mind was really not in sync with her brain, she knew if she let him go like this, that's it, nothing can ever happen between them. So many things were going through her mind, then her brain, mind and mouth struck a deal.

'I mean, like i love you but not the way you think, i love you like a brother'

This time around she made everything really worse, Nino just stood there watching her misbehave, he was really astounded by the way she was behaving, he had never seen her this way 'is this weakness or what?' he thought to himself.
