The last thing Dai'ba saw before hitting the ground was the red streak of the danger light of a car on the other side of the road. As she hit the floor, her body went numb, she couldn't feel a thing, anything. She looked down at her legs, she saw her left feet resting on the tar in a weird position, she knew this was supposed to hurt so much, but she was wondering why she couldn't feel any pain. Now there were a lot of people hovering over her, there was chaos everywhere, some were there to help while some just stood there with their phones trying to film the accident.

'sannu, sannu yarinya' a good Samaritan stood over Dai'ba, she was obviously in shock. The man kept repeating the same thing over and over again.

'ina mai acaban?' Dai'ba tried to standup but she couldn't, a sharp pain sent her back to the ground

'Yena can gefen' the good Samaritan pointed to his right

'Kar ki damu, an kira ambulance daga asibitin Shika. Suna nan zuwa' he added. Dai'ba nodded her head and continued looking around her.

'What's causing this kind of hold up here now' Nino whined at the driver's side of the car. Farisa looked around her and noticed a crowd not too far from her

'I think there was an accident over there' Farisa pointed at the side of her window 'I hope the people involved are alright'

'I hope so too' Nino stepped on the gas, the traffic was getting less congested.

'When did you say we are coming back? because I am dying to meet Dai'ba' Farisa squealed with excitement on her sit

Nino let out a little laugh 'calm down joor. Maybe by 9 haka'

'isn't that too late?'

'How is 9 late?' Nino continued driving. They kept on discussing until they got to where they were going to.

'Ehen, gasu nan sun taho' the good Samaritan was still standing over Dai'ba. The siren from the ambulance was blasting through the atmosphere, it got louder as the ambulance got closer to where the accident happened.

Dai'ba managed to sit on the tar whilst observing the people around her, she couldn't understand why they kept on taking pictures. She could hear the siren blasting and the discomforting sound of car horns of other cars trying to pass by. Dai'ba noticed her heart beat started slowing down, the sounds started feeling so distant and it echoed.

'Something is wrong' she murmured before she finally slumped to the ground again.

'I have been trying her number since 8:40 fah and she is not picking' Folake kept pacing in the room while Fa'ad sat on the bed with a bowl of cereal in front of him.

'Maybe the phone is on silent in her bag and remember she is with her boyfriend. You never can tell they might be having a very important discussion' Fa'ad took a spoonful to his mouth

'toh, I hope so. I don't know why I feel like something is wrong'

'better stop saying that. Oya come let's finish this cornflakes' Fa'ad tapped his side, gesturing Folake to come and sit beside him.

Folake hissed 'You had better not finish his food. Glutton. Please be fast let's go. It's already getting late.'

Fa'ad and Folake stepped out of the compound to look for a bike that would take them to school. Fa'ad's phone started ringing, he picked the call and after 3 seconds, he gave the phone to Folake. Nino and Folake spoke for about 30 seconds and ended the call.

'I told you something might be wrong' Folake's mood switched, she was now worried. She started walking ahead even before Fa'ad could reply her.

'What happened?' Fa'ad chased after her.
