'What should i write about today? hmmm' Nino said to himself staring at the ceiling

Dai'ba rushed into Nino's room

'Adamu! Have you heard the latest?' she asked

'Come, Woman! Don't you have door or room etiquette?'

'how would you just bang into a guys room like that, a guy with beards for that matter' Nino said rubbing his scantily hairy chin

What are you hiding? is there a girl in this room?

Dai'ba looks around the room and then rushes to his wardrobe to check for what she was professedly looking for

'Is this one mad?' Nino asked

Dai'ba still looking around for what could possibly not be in his room.

'So what is the latest? CNN' He asked

Asma'u is coming here next tomorrow, she wants to come and see me but indirectly you will see her ko? Daiba said with so much excitement in her voice.

Nino's face switched from inquisitive to disgust in a blink. He was surprised

'Since when did dai'ba start lobbying for Asma'u' He thought to himself

Well, Nino was excited by the news, i mean she has always had a special place in his heart but he had never really put any thought to it. They have never gotten the time to talk let alone look each other enough to understand that there could be a connection. Trying to compose himself

"So?" Nino looked at her with anger on his face. He was trying so hard to portray that he wasn't affected by the news.

'Don't even pretend like you don't know what i am talking about. See as you are shaking, you couldn't even stand again' Dai'ba laughed with pity on her face

'My leg was paining me, and i was kind of surprised, why would Asma'u want to come to this house? all the same sha no lele. we dey wait for her.'

'ehen, so let's get you prepared so that you won't mess up this huge opportunity' dai'ba walked to his closet going through his hung shirts.

with disgust on his face 'Get me prepared? for what exactly? Come and be going abeg'

'Wai ma kiji, since when did you start this whole Asma'u thing' nino asked her with surprise on his face

'Ka bar maganan nan. I am always in my room and always at your service. You know you are my little bro, i gat your back'

'See this one, it's just three years difference between both of us, better calm down' nino laughed

'at least i had already started eating real food even before you started drinking water'

'Oya it's okay leave my room'

She makes her way to the door, just as she was about to leave the room

'ehen, mumy said you should write all the things you need for school, i have already dropped my list'

Dai'ba shook her head and left the room. She knew she had planted the thought of Asma'u in his brain, she jumped in jubilation as she made for her room. Ever since she knew Asma'u she had always wanted her for him. Nino fell face flat on his bed, so many thoughts brewing in his head. He couldn't still understand how and when Dai'ba started having this notion in her mind. Nino knew Asma'u is beautiful, at least the incident that happened the first day he saw her would attest to that, He almost fell in the gutter. He would have spoken to her that day but as the saying goes "Liver fail am".
