Four weeks had passed since Nino and Asma'u broke up, he started feeling a lot better last week, the preceding weeks before were very hard for him. After Farisa left the hospital, Nino had a lot of time to reflect on everything that happened to him. He couldn't believe Asma'u broke up with him and worst of all, she was getting married. He hadn't gotten the opportunity to speak with her yet, it was like she was evading him. He tried numerous times to see her but all to no avail. Asma'u wasn't ready to face Nino, it still hurt her that she did something this terrible to him. She had always wanted to tell him about Yaseer on numerous occasions, but she always postponed it and she kept on postponing until it got to this point.

Yaseer was technically Asma'u' first love, not love particularly, it was more of like a crush. They stayed in the same estate in Lagos in the past, before Asma'u' Dad moved them all to another estate around the Ikeja axis of Lagos. Asma'u used to daydream about Yaseer, even though he was way older than her but she couldn't help it, she really had a big crush on him. After the move, Asma'u was angry because she wasn't ever going to see her 'Yaseer' again. She was just in J.S.S 3 at that time and Yaseer was a 400-level medical student.

Sometime in 100-level, Asma'u went to the market to get tomatoes and pepper she and the girls were to use to cook. She had finished buying all the items they needed, she went by the roadside to stop a bike that would take her to the front of the school gate since bikes were not allowed into the school premises. She was about to get on the bike when all the content of the black plastic back she was holding poured on the ground. Some of the tomatoes rolled to the ever busy market road. Asma'u tried to pick the one she could pick, a car was passing by and smashed one of the tomatoes and the liquid content inside splashed on her black abaya.

'innalillahi!!' she furrowed her eyes and tried to look through the mildly tinted glass to see who was inside the car. She could barely see the person, so she bent down and continued picking the remaining tomatoes. The person inside the car came down and tried to help her, Asma'u raised her head to see who succeeded in spoiling her day. She was shocked to see Yaseer, she froze for about 4 seconds, she didn't hear Yaseer apologizing. All the feelings, the butterflies, the weak knees, and memories came back in an instant. She remembered those eyes so well, his voice had changed a little, it was a bit thicker. Yaseer helped Asma'u with some of the things on the ground, some of the pedestrians and vehicle owners that wanted to use the road started showing their inconveniences.

Yaseer persuaded Asma'u to throw away the vegetables she bought so that he could buy fresh ones for her again. Yaseer couldn't really remember Asma'u face, but he knew she looked familiar. Notwithstanding, he thought she looked beautiful and he was going to try to make Asma'u be his friend. For Asma'u it was a different story. She could remember him like it was just yesterday, the crush she had on him had just quadrupled, he looked more matured and sophisticated. They got the fresh vegetables and Yaseer offered to go drop her in school, at first Asma'u refused but after a little persuading, she accepted.

From time to time all through Asma'u 100-level, Yaseer made sure he found a way through his busy schedule to keep in touch with Asma'u. At first, Asma'u didn't find the inconsistent communication as an issue, but after a while, it started taking a toll on her. She decided she was going to forget about it and focus on Nino and what they trying to build together. But something about first love, they never go away that easily.

Yaseer, the first born of 5 children and the only boy amongst his siblings. Born to a nurse, his mother and a chartered accountant, his father. Yaseer had always wanted to be an actor because of his love for Samuel L. Jackson. He could stay all day watching all his classics and even his new movies 'triple X' and a host of many others. He was never the loud type, he most times kept to himself and his books. His dad forced him into medicine against his wish but here he was a medical doctor. Standing at 6ft2in, well-structured posture and a very masculine jawline that brought the handsome features of his face. His parents and sisters were scared that he wasn't ever going to get married because they had never seen him talking to or about any girl before. So, it was a thing of joy when he called his mum and told her about Asma'u. His dad, upon hearing this news jumped into action immediately by going to talk to Asma'u' dad in accordance with the Hausa tradition.
