She hit the send button with a lot of smile on her face, her heart's pulse was still fast. Almost immediately, her phone beeped, a message came in, her mind skipped a heart beat. She let out a deep sigh as she opened the message app.

'Allah ya tsine ma MTN' she said in a low tone so as not to wake Folake and Dai'ba.

As she was about to lock the phone, a message came in, she rushed to open the app, it was from Habibi, she blushed. They sms'd back and forth almost all through the night, it wasn't until 4:37 A.M Asma'u gave up and retired to bed, she could barely keep her eyes from closing. Nino was used to keeping late night, it was like his second strong suit. Dai'ba had always advised him to pray at night, he did at times and other times he'd just browse the Internet or watch movies. Then he remembered his blog, he went through his stash of poems to root for a good one to post. Fa'ad had complained about lack of new posts the previous week, so he wanted to drop a poem and an article. After going through the stash he finally settled on the poem and article he was going to post. He chose a letter he had written to his future son, he decided to post the first part.

LETTER TO MY SON Part 1

Dear Son,

I really have no idea why i am writing this but i believe i need to, so as not to allow you make the same mistakes i may or may not have made. Some are from experiences and some are from other people's mistakes.

if you are reading this, it's either you are the first son or you are the last son, and if for any reason you show this to your sisters i promise you won't get pocket money from me for the next 4 months(i mean it). Now back to the matter, all that is contained in this write up is not a rule instead it's a guide, how you use it depends on your level of understanding of life. i hope you are not dumb, else blame your mum(it is scientifically proven).

SEX

If I could scare you with the threat of pregnancy and sexually transmitted disease to prevent you from having sex this early in your life, I would. But i know you guys are keen on stupid things, especially at this tender age. You know what? Actually, i am really not concerned about you in this situation but your sisters (if you happen to have some). They are more prone to so many weird medical conditions when exposed to sex at a tender age because of how delicate their body system is, especially CERVICAL CANCER, which can strip them off the right to being called a woman. That thing is very sneaky, it doesn't show itself until after about 15 years.

Now back to you, i am not really bothered about you doesn't mean i am not bothered, if for any reason you impregnate a girl you are not married to, please i beg you let me know even before your mum, yh i know you are probably thinking i am going to kill you. Well, you got that right, i am surely gonna kill you(technically not literally). But i am a father and i know it is a blessed mistake(every baby is a blessing but not all are needed), so don't worry i will make sure the girl you got pregnant doesn't lack anything and also the baby but just know that they will be eating out of your monthly allowance, so if after i finish getting them stuffs and no change is left then my boy no money for you then.
