Episode 11

It was two weeks since Nino started talking to Asma'u casually, he could call anytime and they could chat for long. Nino was in love but didn't want to show it,he felt it made no sense falling in love this early when he was still recovering from the pain he conceived from his previous relationship but Asma'u wasn't helping matters either. She'd always call to talk, you know how it is when a girl is in love with a guy. Yeah, she was also in love with him too but she didn't want to show it.

It was a hot Sunday afternoon the sun was really at it's peak the whole place was boring as usual. Sunday's are always boring but whenever Nino and Fa'ad were together they knew how to create that lively atmosphere for each other.

Fa'ad was chatting on his phone 'I need me a new girlfriend'

Nino looked at Fa'ad with disgust on his face 'mahaukaci' he thought to himself.

'Rahama Kuma fa?' Nino asked

'as in?' Fa'ad shifted his concentration from his phone to Nino

'Where your girlfriend Rahama?'

'We broke up' Fa'ad replied with no remorse whatsoever

Nino shook his head 'You are hopeless'

'Guy, the girl started demanding too much attention'

'Which she wasn't even getting at all. I know you na, no be you'

'Guy leave this women issues to us, na we be the chairmos for this game'

Nino looked at Fa'ad and thought to himself 'How come this tool keeps getting the girls'

'no dey look like that joor '

'The day girl go hook you. wallahi you go hate me, wetin i go use your eye see' Nino turned to his laptop

'Mallam, leave mata for mathias'

The day was at least coming to an end Fa'ad and Nino decided to go out for a walk in the campus and check out what was happening. They met several people on the way including Asma'u, Folake and Dai'ba. The semester was still not fully on auto-drive, students were still resuming, so all the OHs and AAHs were still in the air. People were looking fresh, what do you expect? they just came back from the holidays where they ate nice meals, slept on comfy beds, had time to relax and really hang out with friends.

'Now, we are back to school' Nino muttered

'So you are just realizing that?' Fa'ad asked with a mixed facial expression

'No! that's not what i meant, can't you see these fine girls just beautifying this Sunday evening?'

'Oh!!..I see..' Fa'ad answered nodding his head whilst looking around him

'How i wish this was a movie, i would just jump behind one girl and start dancing' Nino said

'Ehn?.. you can still do it, but just give me your I.D card so that the security men won't know who you are'

'we are not yet ready to lose you in this school' Fa'ad replied.

Most times, Nino seemed like a guy that doesn't get around too well with people, at least that is what most people think of him, why? one of his beliefs is that, "why make someone your friend when it's not gonna be beneficiary to both parties", he only make friends with people he thinks he should make friends with. he is not the kind of guy you will call a "super-friend". he also doesn't believe in enmity, he either likes you or dislikes you and if he does like you he will show it. He is also the kind of guy that will be friends with you for 2 years and never ask for your number except the situation warrants, why? because he knows he won't call you excepts it is urgent or you are dearest to his heart, the latter seems rarely possible especially for guys.
