i sighed a breath of relief as i walked through the front door, into the cool air conditioning.

i shut the door behind me with my foot.

i had my arms lined with grocery bags filled to the brim.

i felt so strong, if only annie saw.

i set them all on the counter and put them away.

i took the snacks and drinks upstairs to annie.

i opened the door and smiled at her as she was just about to start stranger things.

i walked over to her as she stared up at me from her bundle of pillows and blankets.

i set the things down on the bedside table and and layed doen beside her.

i was still hot from the la sun so i took off my shirt.

i walked over to to the cloths bin and dropped my shirt in.

as my shirt just about fell into the clothes, i saw a towel.

the towel had blood soaked into it.

alot of blood.

i let my shirt fall into the bin and i turned around to face annie.

where did all the blood come from?

that couldn't be from her period.

i gave her a suspicious look and she gave a confused one back.

i glanced at the towel one more time before slowly making my way back to the bed.

i layed down next to annie.

i reached into the bag of chips as annie did the same.

our arms roughly brushed against each other and she jolted back after yelling loudly.

"ow!"

i put the chip into my mouth and looked at her confused.

she looked lost.

she looked worried.

she looked as if she was hiding something.

then it hit me.

i wasn't sure if it were true, but it almost brought tears to my eyes with the thought.

did she cut her wrists?

i sat up, as annie was already.

"do you trust me?"

she slowly nodded.

i held my hands out for her to take and she did.
