*Elsaira Moon*
Its been a few weeks and everything has been going smoothly. I see Derek every now and then out while I'm taking a stroll around the park. He'll find me and we catch up with each other. It's funny to think that I've felt like I've known him my whole life after weeks of meeting. Currently I am with him at the park.
My two guards are standing within a distance to give me and Derek privacy. Nettie is standing with them as Derek and I are sitting in a bench. The trees grown here give us shade. Olaf sits in front of our feet like a good boy.
"So what do your parents think of you being here with me?" I asked him and he smiled.
"My dad doesn't think to much of it. I don't really talk to him about you, but he's aware of our friendship. He wants me to be careful with you, you have the power to hurt me financially and emotionally. My mom thinks that it is fine however she also says I should be careful, she thinks one day you'll get bored of me and toss me out like trash." Derek said as he looked down.
"I would never. I guess I somehow expected their response to be like that. I know Belle's father was like that at first.... hesitant to let me be around her. Many people think that way, I don't blame them, I've heard other Royals were like that. I'm not like that. You don't understand me, but I understand you." I said softly and he looked up.
"How could you understand us? Commoners and Royals are very different. Royals wouldn't know how we live. How hard we work while they get everything they want." Derek said then looked at me. "Sorry." He then apologized. I only smiled. He looked back down.
"You're right. Royals don't understand. But I do. I wasn't always full with jewels, expensive rare dresses, servents and castles." I whispered and he looked confused.
"I grew up living a normal life. I grew up, as a mere person among others who didn't know anything. I was surrounded by people who worked hard to accomplish their tasks and who worked hard for me. I was with people who loved me and risked everything for me, just like a normal family." I said as I looked at him.
"I was normal for once in my life." I said and smiled. My voice was becoming tight and my eyes starting to sting a little but no tears dropped. Derek only looked surprised and softened his tension.
"I had human friends, I lived in a house, I had a normal bedroom, filled with books and toys, not jewels, and tiaras." I said smiling but my voice cracking slightly.
"Where were you all these years?" Derek asked and I sighed. I shrugged since I knew I couldn't say anything. "Here and there. I'm sorry, I can't say." I said and he sighed slightly.
"You don't trust me." He said but said it like it was a fact.
"Of course I do. I'm just..... it's for their saftey. For my saftey. For the safety of Arendelle, I am forced to not say. Trust me.... I've never told Anna or Nettie. Nobody knows where I've been. Nobady can know either way." I said to him. He nodded and sighed.
"Do you miss it? Having a normal life, I mean." Derek asked and I smiled.
"Occasionally. I can assure you, I was shy, small, fragile, no gift, no power. Once I arrived, I could feel the power my gift gave me. I became less shy, more active, more confident. There, I had the freedom to go walk around, not have body guards, not have everyone bow or curtsey to me. There was no "her highness", there was no "princess", everything was calm and easy. It was just me." I said and he smiled. I smiled at my memories.
"Tell me, what about the karaoke is it that you like?" I asked changing the subject, and he smiled.
"The singing part. I like singing and just being on stage. People watching you and cheering for you, its something I wouldn't trade for the world." Derek said and I smiled. I then rememered my song writing.
