Too Blind To See

I sat there in my seat, eating with my family in silence. Everything was completely quiet due to Anna's situation.

"Alright, this cannot go on like this. I'm tired of this." Idun said a little annoyed at us.

"That will be all, thank you." Manny said quickly after and every servent left the dining room closing the doors behind them. We were all alone.

"Yeah, will you tell her that? I don't need her to be getting involved. It's my life!" Anna said gesturing towards me.

"Hey, I care about you, and he is taking advantage of you. I'm trying to help you!" I said back and she slammed her hands on the table.

"Oh please! Give me a break! Help? You want to help me? How about if you back off? That will help, thank you very much." Anna said annoyed.

"You are so blind! Don't you see? He doesn't love you!" I said to her trying to make her see.

"You are jealous! That's what you are!" She yelled back.

"Jealous? Me? Of that ignorant idiot who can't stop looking at himself in a mirror for a second? Who can't stop bragging about himself? Please! I couldn't care less about him!" I said to her standing up. She stood up too.

"Right, so why can't you stop trying to make me leave him? I love him, he loves me. Why is that so hard to understand?!" Anna raised her voice standing up too.

"Girls, please just sit down." Manny said to us, but it didn't stop Anna.

"No, she wants to talk, let's hear it. You can't stand the fact that he is no longer trying to get your attention. That you let him slip out of your cold hands! You liked the attention and all, but once he realized he was in love with me, you got jealous!" Anna exclaimed.

"I don't need a man to be happy! That's the difference between you and me. It is so pathetic that you think I would fall for such an ignorant person. I'm not jealous, I'm trying to protect you from making a mistake." I said back and Manny stood up.

"Alright, Anna you have to understand that Saira is right. He claimed his love for her just a little ago and now he's brainwashed you into thinking that you're the one." Manny said to her.

"Anna, please just calm down. We are just trying to help you make the right choice." Idun said, also standing up from her seat.

"So you are on her side now? I love him, it's true love! There is nothing you can do about it!" Anna yelled and was starting to walk to the doors.

"Oh please, Anna what do you know about true love?!" I asked her and she stopped walking and turned to me.

"More than you, all you know is how to shut people out." She said turning around. Everything became quiet.

"Anna, you don't mean that." Idun said quietly but you could see her eyes of sadness.

"Anna!" Manny yelled.

"Th-that's not true." I said to her and looked away.

"Really? It's not? Ever since you came back, you were everything to everybody! You can't be a normal Princess. You can't be with a Prince because they aren't good enough for you. You can't be the center of attention because you don't like it. You can't be Queen because you're afraid. You say you go through so many things yet, you don't see what others go through! I don't understand you! What are you so afraid of?!" Anna yelled at me.

"You would never understand what I have gone through!" I yelled at her and she laughed sarcastically.

"Like always, you are the only one who has problems here." She said back.
