*Derek Code*

As soon as we got home we fully discussed with mom about what the King had promised.

"Can you believe it, mom?" I asked her excitedly and she cheered with me.

"You boys were amazing and if the King keeps his promise, imgaine everything you will accomplish!" Mom said as she cheered and hugged us.

"Mom, if we actually get earnings from this, imagine our lives. Of course, half of it will go to William and his wife, but we could finally have a better life. It would take Jay and I to a better school, a better future for all of us." I said to her and she smiled at me.

"He's right, Jane, you guys would really be better if this all goes well." Liam said to my mom and she smiled at him.

"Well, yes, but we can't get any illusions, what if this doesn't work out." Mom said and I hugged her.

"Don't worry mom, we'll do our best." Jay said and smiled.

"Well, Liam, Will, you should both probably go and give the news to your parents. They might want to know that tomorrow, you will be signed by a producer on the King's orders." Mom said and they nodded.

After saying their goodbyes they left and we were left to ourselves. Going to sleep was the hard part. I had just done my biggest dream, and to think about being signed by a producer tomorrow is exciting. I needed to breath, I felt like I was out of breath just thinking about it.

The next morning we were immediately getting ready when there was a knock on the door. Mom was making breakfast with Jay as I went to open the door. I opened it to reveal my dad, Will, and Liam.

"Where is Jane?" He asked serious. I looked at Will and Liam and they looked worried.

"Nice to see you too, dad." I said sighing and opened the door more to let them in. His mood told me they would fight......again.

"Oh, William. The boys are almost ready, just let them have their breakfast." I heard mom say as I closed the door and went to the kitchen.

"Can you explain to me what is this nonsense that you are letting them sign a contract with a producer for music?" Dad asked mom seriously. You could easily tell he was confused amd slightly angry.

"I will ask you not to use that tone with me. The boys want to become artists, I let them. Of course Derek and Jay promised to bring me the contract back to me, I will read everything they will be signing." Mom said calmly and casually as she serves Jay breakfast.

"That is nonsense woman! My sons should be working hard, not singing for money!" Dad yelled at my mother.

Jay stood in between them.

"Derek and I begged her for this. If you want to yell at someone then yell at me." Jay said to him serious. Mom held Jay by his shoulders.

"My sons want to play music, I'm letting them. If it is Liam and Will you are fighting about, well then I can't say anything. But Derek and Jay are going to play if they want to." Mom said to him calmly.

"Miranda said the same thing. I don't understand how you two don't see it, these boys, my sons, need to learn that life isn't about guitars and drums, it's about working hard and working for what you have." Dad said and I raised my eyebrows. Will, Liam, Jay, and I looked at each other.

We had no idea each other existed until our mom's found out about each other when me and Liam were 3. They seemed to think the same thing and all walked next to my mom.

"Really, dad? You are going to tell us about working for what we have when you cheated both on mom and Jane without anyone knowing?" Will said to him and crossed his arms.
