Being Watched

*Edward Cullen*

I was looking up at the moon and I remembered my little Isabella. Sometimes I wondered if every choice I made was worth it. I sat on my couch in my bedroom, since I practically had no bed. I picked up my book and began reading again. Alice and Jasper were in their room doing god knows what, and I certainly did not want to know, I tried my best to block out their minds.

Esme and Carlisle were downstairs in the living room with Rose and Jasper watching T.V. The Denali's had left back to Alaska for a little bit but would be back in a few days. As I read I heard some noises outside. They weren't far, almost right outside. I took a big breath and smelled the air. My window was open so I could smell everything outside.

Nothing. I smelled nothing. There were a few squirrel's, and birds I did smell so it must be them. There is no other scent.

I didn't think much of it and kept reading. I then looked at my car keys hanging on the wall. The keychain of the compass was there. I never lost it, never let anyone take it away.

It is one of the most precious thing I have.

I stared at him, his back turned to me but I could see he was sitting down. He was upstairs in a room with glass walls. I slowly, trying to avoid every branch and twig that could snap, walked over to another tree. I tried looking inside where I saw more figures but I couldn't.

They were safe. They were fine. I turned around and walked away from the house every so carefully. I knew they would hear me if I made too much noise.

I looked around, it was very dark, Pitch could hide anywhere. I stood still for a few seconds, looking around making sure nobody was there to see me.

I took out a snowglobe and looked at it.

"The Spirit World, my bedroom." I whispered quickly and threw it down on the ground. I knew by now they heard me, so without a second thought, I jumped into the portal quickly. When I got over the portal Anna catched me as I was about to fall.

The portal disappeared and I sighed.

"Did you see them?" Anna asked me and I looked at her.

"I did."

*Edward Cullen*

"The Spirit World, my bedroom." I heard in a whisper in the forest. I closed my book and in less than a second my family was already outside.

We looked around and saw a colorful circle in the air. There was someone in a black cloak who then jumped in and disappeared.

"There! You saw that?" Rosalie asked pointing to it.

"What was that?" Emmett asked. We all ran to it and stopped to look everywhere.

"They disappeared in thin air." Carlisle said as he looked at us.

"The Spirit World...... it had to be Jack!" Esme said hopeful.

"He would have come towards us." Alice said looking around.

"Edward, did you read their mind?" Jasper asked and they all looked at me.

"No. It was as if nobody was there." I said as we returned to the house.

"Whoever it was, we have to be careful. They're watching us." Carlisle said and everyone looked worried.

We were being watched...... but by who?

"And?" Anna asked making me sit down on the bed.
