I see this portrayed very, very often in many, many books.
It's not cute.
I know this.
It's not sweet neither does it mean that someone just "absolutely loves you".
Possessive behaviour means that a person wants to own you. They don't want to love you. They want to own you. They want you to belong to them and that sucks.
And I am so sick of these people writing shit that portrays it as being cute. Feeling claustrophobic and feeling as if you're trapped does not feel like love. It's crap and it sucks.
Which is why you will very seldomly see jealousy being portrayed by any of my characters in my books. I don't like it.
