Chapter 18 - Letter

"Tell me the truth Lucas, when have I mentioned you that I bake?" Areum demanded.

The three of them were silently standing there but the atmosphere was heavy. Raehee was trying to figure out why baking is a big deal all of a sudden in the middle of the way up to the dorm, because honestly she's hungry and wanted to start baking.

Lucas wanted to smash his stupid head with a baseball bat for not processing that that was Luke and Reumie's conversation.

Stupid shithead.

But of course, the king of lying knew what to do. Please refill your popcorns and drinks because the truth is yet to be discovered because this is going to be a long ass ride. He rolled his eyes chuckling, massaging Areum's shoulders to make her relax.

He knew that they're both thinking about the same thing. Areum was already suspecting that he's Luke. Of course they would sound the same, they're the same person. But even if Lucas is caught, he just knew all the perfect lies.

"You guys mentioned it just now. The moment you guys mentioned it, I started t have a desire to taste pastry made by miss sassy girl Areum." he explained but Areum's suspicion didn't stop there. Today he's smooth, but who knows about the future?

Her slit eyes got more smaller out of suspicion, but let it go for now. She wanted to make him a cookie. He looks like he needed one. Plus she had to hurry because Ningning and Najae's still on a date. Hopefully they won't come until they finish because Areum had this fear that the two might fall in love.

It's not that hard to fall for Lucas.

Like her, her first impression of Lucas from the entrance exam was the cheating bastard who copied her answers. Why else would he be peaking at her answer sheet?

But after that day he randomly showed up on their classroom's door frame, Areum became more curious about him. The way their eyes met, she knew something was up. She started to fall for him then.

It won't be hard for Ningning to fall.

The three of them went to the dorm where there's still Jisung flirting with Herin, and Lami glaring at the sweetness. Sweet! The brownies need sweetness.

"Shall I ask Mark to come over?" Lucas asked them.

"Sure." Areum agreed as she got rid of the ugly coat, putting on an apron. "Herin want to make some brownies?" She asked interrupting Jisung and Herin in the middle of their conversation.

"Sure." Herin put on another apron.

"Shall I make the mixture?" Raehee asked grabbing a knife. Where does she need the knife for?

Lucas grabbed it from her hand placing it back down the kitchen counter. "What are you doing?" Raehee asked him.

"Making sure that nobody's going to die tonight." he hushed her gently, nodding his head, leading him to the couch where Lami was currently frowned. If this girl's making the pastries, it'll surely taste bitter.

Both Areum and Herin prepared their mixture silently when Mark Lee came. "Herin, need anything?" he asked right away. These two would just randomly talk in english leaving other people in the room out of place.

"Not from you thank you. I heard you almost burnt your dorm from cooking." she insulted which made Mark sadly sit on the couch.

Lucas stared at him wondering why he's sad. He's afraid to cook so why suddenly feel sadness that Herin didn't want him to help?

"We're here!" Ningning suddenly came inside breaking the silence. Here comes Jaemin too, holding different shopping bags.

"Nana?" Jisung greeted. "It is you. I thought I was imagining things when I saw Ningning at Social Night with you." the two shared a long affectionate man hug before Jaemin moved on to Lucas and Mark.
